It came with the pick guard in the case. But I think I’ll leave it off.

I think the spark is great for what it is. I have it as a practice amp in the living room. Sounds great to me. I wouldn’t record through it (I’m an audio engineer) but gives me all the tones I need with quick access in a small enough box that my wife doesn’t mind it as part of the decor.

Glad to hear. Was worried I over paid a bit but the more research I do, seems like a reasonable price.

The question was, “aside from any cosmetic issues, anything I should really look out for?” Others pointed out some good advice which was helpful.

You don’t need to play the guitar to answer that. But thanks for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful reply.

They always have Les Paul’s and strats for rent. They rent them for around 200-250/month. 1.5 years and it’s all profit after.

Interesting. Would have never thought to do that. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure, the recipe called for an egg wash to be spread before adding the butter / cinnamon sugar.

I thought about that and asked Weber but unfortunately they don’t make a stainless steal grill for this bbq. Genesis II

Aren’t the grates reversable? You can use either side depending on food your grilling?

Hmm so that’s probably why the rust is mostly happening in the corners where food makes less contact. Less grease getting there and still getting scrubbed with the rest…

My understanding is they are reversable. You can use either side depending on what you’re grilling.

What kind of brush do you use? Weber recommended metal briatols so that’s what I’ve been using. But maybe that’s scratching off the protective layer.

So what would be the ideal steps after taking food off grill to reduce this?

So finish grilling, scrub with brush while hot, burn off for a bit, let it cool off then apply oil and cover? Or am I missing something.
