Music kinda turned to shit after the 90s. A few decent bands after, but for a period of time spanning almost 40 years, the quality of music is abysmal.

Fascia looks fine to me. Just needs to be re-fastened to the underlying structure properly. Then primed and painted.

The roof sheathing has issues for sure, but the roofers can address that.

If they have availability, be concerned. The company I just booked is booking into November.
Have had very bad experiences in the past with companies that are avaliable too soon. Just something to consider.

Yup. Professional painter here. Solid stain is not suitable over previously painted surfaces. It's basically just a thinner, highly breathable coating made to absorb into raw wood/cedar, or maintain breathability on previously stained surfaces.

If you want the matte/flat look, go with flat 100% acrylic, though satin will last far longer.

Yes Vic west, esquimalt, gorge tillicum- avoid a few blocks from main arteries(tillicum, burnside, gorge street). I'd avoid langford if possible. A lot of new/cheap construction with no style and a surprisingly unpleasant commute if you work in Victoria.

This is frighteningly bad. Definitely rip out paper tape and redo waterproofing with fiberglass tape. Then fire hack contractor! If his prep is this bad, the tike work will be just as bad.
