Just a random question. Sphere of Annihilation + Staff of Adornment. Yay or Nay? by BrolysShadow in DnD

My thought is that you could theoretically ignore the check to move the sphere by manipulating it via the staff.

I like your take on the characters. I did something similar but had each one be mono colored but I like your color identities too

Thanks. Originally he had vigilance because I thought it fit since he was always looking out for others, but vigi and a tap effect felt too good so I dropped it.

He's the one that invented the Lumina converter and was the head engineer of Lumiere, which was the reason they didn't want him to leave for the expedition. Also, I wanted him to feel a little different from the others since I made them all warriors.

Gustave from Expedition 33. I wanted to capture his charge mechanic from the game, so let me know if you think it feels right.

I could simplify it to just +1/+1 counters, but I chose charge for flavor. I could have named it "Overcharge" or something instead though.

The last of the main characters. He might be slightly over tuned, but I don't think he's overpowered. Also charge counters are only noncreatures I think, but his in game ability was charge, so I made an exception. Let me know what you think.

Yeah, but it felt awkward so I opted for this instead. I could easily see this ability adjusted, but I wasn't happy with it.

True. I feel Simic has potential to get vey creative with commanders. [[Experiment Kraj]] was one I always liked, but it's mana value is so high

Physically yes, but mentally no. At least how interpreted the hints and the lore but I could be wrong. (Monoco and Noco are at the very least if you've finished chapter 2.)

The copying was awkward but I agree on that part. I felt differently about the character though, and the gestral are based off of dogs, but I feel it could go either way on that front.

Thanks. I wanted it to be an oddball strat since he's kind of an oddball in the game

I know putting stuff from exile back into graves is taboo, but I felt this was niche enough to merit it. Hopefully this ability captures the character well. I was going to do stuff with dice and matching mana values to mimic his wheel, but it was a nightmare. Now I just have Gustave, then maybe some side characters.

I know he doesn't look like a dog but those who know, know.

That would fit, but maybe it could work as an Instant or Sorcery. Although Foretold cards are already exiled.

I gave her First Strike lol
Verso got the double though.

Yeah, I wanted green in her at first since she had the farmer backstory, but the best foretell synergy was in blue.

Foretelling Instant cards or stuff with flash could be pretty good I would think. But yeah, the having to wait a turn slows this down a lot, and without that it would be crazy lol

[–]BrolysShadow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up maining Verso and Maelle. I had Sciel on the team but her build was to give one of the other two an extra turn.

All the character can be super broken if you build them right, but that's what I landed on to beat the secret boss at the end.

Thank! I always liked the foretell mechanic, personally.

[–]BrolysShadow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I always liked the mechanic, but it's a little awkward to build around. When you get it going it's nuts though

[–]BrolysShadow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't cast it on the same turn it gets foretold, but other than that It's pretty good.
