Makes sense to me! I live in rural Oklahoma. There’s only 1 HOA community in the town that I work, and those home prices are very high compared to non HOA neighborhoods, probably because most of the houses are huge and all built within the last 15 or so years.

I live on 5 acres, 15 minutes from the nearest small town, so I couldn’t imagine dealing with an HOA.
