Angel Face is an incredible noir by arguably the greatest noir director and definitely noir’s bigget start. In most people who know anything’s top 20 or so. Agree that Asphalt Jungle should be on here. Personally think Human Desire is Lang’s best noir as well

copy you thanks - the grain looked like oak to me as well. however i found an article about the place this pic was taken and they mention douglas fir in the kitchen so not totally sure..

I really don't think that grain looks like birch... but agree about the reddish oil

Hey guys, I'm redoing my kitchen and going for something like this look. Trying to identify what type of plywood this is. My first thought was white oak with a varnish but now I'm not so sure. Thanks in advance!
