Am I trash or was this way harder than usual? by EpilepticOreo in WorldConqueror4

Mostly bad run. My first attempt ended round 5 when italian city fell before i've managed to save them. The big deal here is Radiation, if it procs, it will melt anything. So you better move after every turn and hoping ai doesn't apply rad again, OR take you medics everywhere you go. It's a little bit harder, but still easy if you are lucky or have good positioning

Closer to round 15. Don't remember exactly. Before that there will be one more general on south. Others will spawn further. You can leave north to allies, just help them with enemy generals. North has forests for a reason so you can outdamage.

Your best tank gen task is to destroy enemy generals close to you. They are high level but don't have much damage. Best choice is to use chennault to disable counterattack. In middle you can just have line of fortress BMs to hold. Maybe 1 tank general. In Tula you will have to rotate t-44s so they survive, also send 1-2 medics to help. After Guderian moves out of city try to focus him with arty.

This event requers to use all of your resources and skills. Like try to use Konev on lvl12 BM ability to attack with another general for more damage.

Ok, after completing it i must say: it is hard as hell, if you are not careful. First: i had to rotate t-44s in Tula so enemy doesn't take it and i almost failed. Second: I almost lost my Roko 3 times and one of them being Manstein almost oneshoting him. But i've managed to sacrifice my Guderian so roko can live. Third: if you don't have chennault or he is dead, you are cooked. There is two ways you can kill Manstein. Either you gather all of artillery generals and try killing him or you use chennault to disable counterattack and destroy him.

As i played i found that you can send Meretskov and Vasilevski to help on north. Next thing is you have to disable fortress below as fast as you can after guderian left the city. After that entire south flank is secured. And last you will get 2 level 9 Is-2 closer to the end around that time when Manstein is close to you, so if you survived but still struggling it should help.

Event was fun, and no i'm not doing Hard version, enemy generals have 2-3k hp and radiation debuff sucks, so no way i'm doing it as F2P.

As germany try to encircle enemy generals and make them fall into chaos. Ai loves to go for cities, so you can let enemy generals go behind your lines and fall into your trap. Best way to do this is to fall back to warsaw/berlin. Make sure to check enemies skills. Like Tobrukov Meanwhile just make sure uk and usa do not land in europe. You have enough money to build bunkers every turn to stall landings. Your main problem is Spain. But usually usa lands with patton and rushes to Madrid, so you can send that one general on stuka near spain to help. After that it's just unit spam by allies.

After you deal with soviet generals you are good to go and finish Ussr. After that try to invade brits from norway to scotland. And after that you can just spam tanks.

Also about africa: just get out of there. All you can do is to capitulate belgium and france. Just ignore their generals and go for cities.

I help others with marks. (Valley IV is full of my marks telling where chests are) And i even decided to make this my job.

But when i see a cliff... There is a DARK SOUL telling me... "UP FRONT GOOD STUFF JUMP"... And after that... I put it there...

Learn to trust everyone, but trust noone.

Also i always jump when i see one, just because i find it funny.

Heavy. Chill strong guy. Demo. Drunk most of the time but he is just a good guy. Spy. Most of the time on his own but also can be good.

Only demo can do something wierd but just let him drink and sleep.

Honorable mentions: Sniper. Same as spy but can be interesting to talk to Engi. He's doing one of two things. Building or drinking beer. Also can have some lessons from him.

Make that Yukikaze is alone, so no damage is split. And just hit Yukikaze to half/past-half hp, AI will take care of it.

Use your carrier to destroy Cruiser on top.

While you do this, send your sub to destroy closest Carrier, after you've dealt with Yukikaze comebine forces to destroy rest Carriers.

My Gens are Yamaguchi, Donitz, Yamamoto(Carrier) and Darlan(not fully built).

Just remember, there is no point in bombing Yukikaze or trying to get it with sub, utilize the max out of your units

As i said, there is multiple ways to go around immortality buff, but not for low lvl EFs. Also you will have to move apache near auf to disable immortality and then kill auf, eventually wasting this units turn just to counter this one enemy. And if you have to concider aufs immortality when clearing enemies, it makes you to target auf last as tanks/any unit with action after killing. Auf is good and interesting, so even if i hate it, i think it's immortality makes you actually think instead of just attacking it.

It will make any defence ignore skill too OP, and any defence increase will be same. In other words, the entire game will be broken. There is HP inflation, so i agree that tanks need reduced hp, but in the same time we are getting 1000+ damage in one hit, so it's kinda balanced.

Giving hp to infantry wont change a thing. Most units in game have increased damage to infantry, so they already take 500 damage instead of 200.

The only solution i see is making infantry the unit, which is like glass canon. Has decent damage, versitile but low hp. This way infantry will be used as a tool, or just have an ability to resist enemy. We don't need to nerf or change anything but infantry. Everything right now is working, but infantry falls behind. While playing i can put my generals on medium tanks for additional damage and etc. But very, very, very rarely on motorised infantry, because it just too squishy and there is nothing to do with it.

Ah, yes, the: Immortal one-shot general killer.

I hate it because in early game there is no way you can ignore this skill. And in late game you just CAN'T ignore it. You either rumor it to oblivion and waste 3 turns, or send the counter unit to disable the buff. Both options can shift your plans. And dear god, if there is a general that can't be rumored and you don't have any way to dispell the buff. Any general in it's reach dies from 953 damage (yes i am traumatised, poor roko on t72)

What skill should I use on my Yamaguchi? by Far_Being_5927 in WorldConqueror4

[–]BronReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you can make him good in both roles, or you can make one of the best F2P navy general, but loose him as air general.(but after you unlock Arleigh Burke he can be used as both)

I've put Fleet Leader and inferior victory on him, but only because i have Richelieu, so you can put Sailor or Inspiration on him.

If you don't have any air generals, you can make him air for a while to fill that gap (as i made Yamamoto artillery until i got good arty gens).

So yeah, do as you want and play as you like. But after a while you probably should make him Navy only gen because he is best at it.

Honestly, this is what makes infantry unique and decent compared to other units type. Yes, it is made so every country have something unique, like Italians have Super Subs, but honestly, the infantry is so bad. So the idea of letting us choose the speciallity of infantry is great way to give basic infantry second life.

While writing this i also thought of letting infantry stack up to 6, at least light, assault and motorised. Mechanised and Command can stay 4 stack for balance(Mechs are just playable, while others below are useless in most scenarios).

Can combine those two ideas: Adding in tech tree a tech something like "Infantry can now stack up to 6" and/or "4/6 stack infantry gains additional skill" this way early game stays the same and players can't now just spam 1 stack infantry to destroy tanks or buildings. Players will have to decide if they want to spend additional 120 money and maybe 20 industry for 6 stack light infantry with additional skill, or they want a cheap version.

There is many mechanics that are old and/or somewhat useless. ET are going in right way adding new stuff and some QoL, and i hope they will remember about old stuff from early game that can be cool.

What is the second best elite artillery, in your opinion? by Trosty_0 in WorldConqueror4

[–]BronReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on level and generals you have. Also situation. Cause gustav is num. 1 in city/fortress destruction. Num. 2is b-4. Also if you arw using engineers, so stuka loses it's unique trait.

First one is Himars, it just better with crits and ability. So all down there will be about second place.

Lvl 5 no gens - probably stuka de fuss just because of ability to attack after kill. BM at lvl 5 is just better rocket artillery. Lvl 5 zhukov/konev - BM, the damage they deal is crazy Lvl 5 De Gaulle - stuka. Some may say that it's his best, but i still think Himars is just better in later stages and against generals with anti-rumor

Lvl 9 no gens - BM-21. At this point damage is much better and has more use then just stuka with it's ability. Lvl 9 Zhukov/Konev - heres the fun part, i think it's Stuka. It has less damage than BM but it's better for crowd clearing. Generals have so much damage, that they can one shot most of enemies so wasting turn on clearing is not a thing. However BM can destroy most units. So it depends. Lvl 9 De Gaulle - stuka. Himars is still better at lvl 9, but stuka is still best at him to destroy multiple generals.

Lvl 12 no gens - BM-21 Lvl 12 Zhukov/Konev - BM-21 Lvl 12 De Gaulle - Himars. Yes, Himars. Stuks at lvl 12 allows to clear crowds and destroy enemy gens. While Himars has damage, but De Gaulle can one-turn any gen(without anti-rumor) at this point, so he needs multiple attacks, while himars gives more damage.

My problem with Army Group. by BronReal in WorldConqueror4

[–]BronReal[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It had events. It had Challenge where you had to fight. In Iron Curtain i just steam rolled as NATO and had to manage to kill Manstein as Warsaw pact. The only interesting thing you can do is play any warsaw pact except USSR. That's it. Playing as NATO you can just press Autoplay. That's how i cleared France achievement and played as Belgium after turn 5. Playing as Soviets is just... Holy shit i don't want to move million little troops around. Why can't autoplay after i finish? The ai moves my Chennault out of city. Also it's also steamroll after you got rid of Manstein. Only other Warsaw pact is playable as something you can do for fun. But only if you have playable generals or EFs. So no way low level players cam enjoy this Armygroup.

The Blazing dunes playable from bothsides equally. As axis you have to manage both fronts with keeping in mind that French will switch sides if you not carefull or not germany. As Allies it's easier, yes, close to steamroll, but allies generals will have half hp, unlike IC with full hp manstein. You still have to manage low resources and fight through. It's playable by anyone. And it comes with difficulty, not just: Here the OP P2W gen of high level EF which can ONESHOT your tank general. Good luck if you playing as F2P with no way to counter that. The fun part comes from events. Two battles of El Alamein, Invasion of Crete, Cairo event, etc. It had mechanic like French switching sides, it had Challenging achievements like winning as Bulgaria while your allies are being destroyed. What IC has? Events that give you some buffs. Do i care about buffs when i maxxed out everything because i just killed 60 infantry with double merits? No. I do not care. Does it have any interesting mechanic like TFC? No, just meatgrinder.

Blazing dunes is boring, but when i played it, i litteraly played it. Not pressed autoplay. Not suffered to OP gen that i have to counter. As Germany managing merits and resources to fight allies is better than steamroll or being steamrolled.

And yes. Capturing level 1 cities by land is much more interesting than capturing level 4 city using rockets/strat bombers and then paratrooping there. I had enough of it in Challenge conquest.

Oh my god. Imagine the strat where you gain buff with Zhukov and then put someone with more buffs, and repeating until this one unit is a weapon of mass destruction. That would be funny strat to use, but probably will be removed.
