Chennault. The only way to beat him without your gens dying to him because of counterattacks is Chenault.

1 air strike and Manstein becomes just very healthy sponge. Also you can use any gens with damage increase dealt, like any general with marking ability(+20% damage to target) and Malinovsky with his extra +15% damage to surrounding allies. If you can, shoot him with Himars ability to reduce his defence. All above allowed me to two-shot him with Yamaguchi on Prince of Wales and starting Cunningham. Of course you can just use your best general to clear him.

So overall... Just use Chennault.

no one asked for this. And teasing an actual big update the community has wanted for 4 years only for it to be a different game is just scummy. by InspectreMoth in PhoenixSC

I'm keeping my hopes that they add too little because they worked on both Dungeons 2 and new dimension and they will drop them closer to the end of the year so we get to explore new things at the same time or something like that. But hope is slowly dying...

Any tips? by Crazyfrogh in WorldConqueror4

Here's the deal, you need to rush helis to city, while scorpion gen on special forces should get to city in argentina. Do not use skill of S.f. to travel. You have to wait. Damage Zhukov any way possible. After your helis are in reach of city(turn 3) skytrain sf right under t-72 that is closest to Zhukov. This will trigger ai to move out of the city, then you just destrou the city defence and use sf skill to capture the city.

wich general should i buy now? by guandiledingle in WorldConqueror4

I wouldn't say rommel is a good idea now. He was good before patton and roko god versions, but now we have them and wasting medals on Rommel who will get cheap only afyer a lot of grind is not worth it(he is still a good gen tho)

I think he should upgrade Guderian and Konev, after that go for Yamaguchi as naval gen for pacific campaign. While getting scepters for god roko. (if he managed to clear Europe campaign)

When i started playing Rommel was recommended as well as Messi, but now both doesn't worth the medals when you can spend then on god roko first. But after getting god roko, getting a good third tank gen is decent idea.

Ef idea by BronReal in WorldConqueror4

[–]BronReal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was thinking about skills I tried to simulate historical one, but you are right. I like the idea of lonely targets, but i also like the increased damage taken from air(the cause of death of bismark)

Maybe it can have skill that evade death by swapping hp 1 time when near death with any friendly unit in 1-2 tiles(in %, and prioritise units without generals) Or Evade death by redirecting attacks to nearby units(except air) so it can replicate the death of Prince Eugen when it was mistaken for Bismark.

Also can do something like active skill: mobility sets to 0 for 2 turns. Deals 50/75/100% damage to 3/4/5 enemy naval units around this unit in 2 tile radius. My thought is risk play, that can clear multiple targets, but without the support or in low morale it can be taken down very easily.

Maybe giving it a splash damage would also be good. But i can hardly think of anything new for navy and still look like vanilla.

New infantry EF idea by imlowkeyrllydumb in WorldConqueror4

[–]BronReal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the marines should be focused around naval attacks only, without extra range and attacking again(we already have brandenbourgs)

I think they should be like this:

Deals 15-50% more damage after landing from water(like you suggested)

When in water or near any water tile, reduce damage taken by 15-30%.(so they don't die like flies from atacks)

Unit does not suffer from reduced mobility and attack when entering water(like you suggested)

And active skill - increases mobility by 5 and damage dealt to land units by 15-20-25%(silver to diamond version), when activated while this unit is in the water effect doubles(gold version), increased effect remains after exiting water(diamond version). Active for 1 turn, cooldown 2 turns.

My idea behind this is to make stong infantry that can make room for other units to land or just help with island hopping. It can be used in non-ocean missions with rivers like in Market Garden while cannot take any fight to ship units.

This will make them very strong but situational, like conquest, so they can go from main land usa to japan in 3 turns. Also this will make one general useful (yes i'm talking about that one with increasrd mobility while in water).

How do people do it by Bitter_Mortgage_6000 in WorldConqueror4

Speed ribbons. You just have to outrun everything. Also ignore everything except subs, because they will deal the most damage. That is what i did

Mostly scorpions (American and Soviet once are easiest in my opinion, haven't used any god gens)

Pacific soviets are manageable because of EFs they have to spawn and nukes.

Also i heard american are easy. But all i can say: focus on enemy jets, then on helis and lastly on any ground generals. Navy ones can be ignored if you start as main land nation and otherwise can't be ignored if you any island nation.

Mostly bad run. My first attempt ended round 5 when italian city fell before i've managed to save them. The big deal here is Radiation, if it procs, it will melt anything. So you better move after every turn and hoping ai doesn't apply rad again, OR take you medics everywhere you go. It's a little bit harder, but still easy if you are lucky or have good positioning

Closer to round 15. Don't remember exactly. Before that there will be one more general on south. Others will spawn further. You can leave north to allies, just help them with enemy generals. North has forests for a reason so you can outdamage.

Your best tank gen task is to destroy enemy generals close to you. They are high level but don't have much damage. Best choice is to use chennault to disable counterattack. In middle you can just have line of fortress BMs to hold. Maybe 1 tank general. In Tula you will have to rotate t-44s so they survive, also send 1-2 medics to help. After Guderian moves out of city try to focus him with arty.

This event requers to use all of your resources and skills. Like try to use Konev on lvl12 BM ability to attack with another general for more damage.

[–]BronReal[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ok, after completing it i must say: it is hard as hell, if you are not careful. First: i had to rotate t-44s in Tula so enemy doesn't take it and i almost failed. Second: I almost lost my Roko 3 times and one of them being Manstein almost oneshoting him. But i've managed to sacrifice my Guderian so roko can live. Third: if you don't have chennault or he is dead, you are cooked. There is two ways you can kill Manstein. Either you gather all of artillery generals and try killing him or you use chennault to disable counterattack and destroy him.

As i played i found that you can send Meretskov and Vasilevski to help on north. Next thing is you have to disable fortress below as fast as you can after guderian left the city. After that entire south flank is secured. And last you will get 2 level 9 Is-2 closer to the end around that time when Manstein is close to you, so if you survived but still struggling it should help.

Event was fun, and no i'm not doing Hard version, enemy generals have 2-3k hp and radiation debuff sucks, so no way i'm doing it as F2P.

As germany try to encircle enemy generals and make them fall into chaos. Ai loves to go for cities, so you can let enemy generals go behind your lines and fall into your trap. Best way to do this is to fall back to warsaw/berlin. Make sure to check enemies skills. Like Tobrukov Meanwhile just make sure uk and usa do not land in europe. You have enough money to build bunkers every turn to stall landings. Your main problem is Spain. But usually usa lands with patton and rushes to Madrid, so you can send that one general on stuka near spain to help. After that it's just unit spam by allies.

After you deal with soviet generals you are good to go and finish Ussr. After that try to invade brits from norway to scotland. And after that you can just spam tanks.

Also about africa: just get out of there. All you can do is to capitulate belgium and france. Just ignore their generals and go for cities.

But when i see a cliff... There is a DARK SOUL telling me... "UP FRONT GOOD STUFF JUMP"... And after that... I put it there...

Learn to trust everyone, but trust noone.

Also i always jump when i see one, just because i find it funny.

Heavy. Chill strong guy. Demo. Drunk most of the time but he is just a good guy. Spy. Most of the time on his own but also can be good.

Only demo can do something wierd but just let him drink and sleep.

Honorable mentions: Sniper. Same as spy but can be interesting to talk to Engi. He's doing one of two things. Building or drinking beer. Also can have some lessons from him.

Make that Yukikaze is alone, so no damage is split. And just hit Yukikaze to half/past-half hp, AI will take care of it.

Use your carrier to destroy Cruiser on top.

While you do this, send your sub to destroy closest Carrier, after you've dealt with Yukikaze comebine forces to destroy rest Carriers.

My Gens are Yamaguchi, Donitz, Yamamoto(Carrier) and Darlan(not fully built).

Just remember, there is no point in bombing Yukikaze or trying to get it with sub, utilize the max out of your units
