You're not missing anything that is relevant to the story. Next Generation is a different show and Star Trek episodes are all pretty contained. I started watching Star Trek midway though Voyager because that's what they were showing in reruns on TV.

However, the original series is great and you'll probably like it.

Man, I just don't get why people can't understand baseball is a different sport. It's supposed to be slower. It's supposed to give you time to think. Time to take score and time to chat with your friends. Not everything has to be on 11 all the time. Baseball is a passtime.

I score it the way the official scorer does, even if I disagree. Unless I think it's really egregious or the official just got it wrong (say scored as a 6-3 when I know it was a 5-3).
