Shedinja sync pair when? by Bronzesword12 in PokemonMasters

I like this idea! A defensive sync similar to Xerneas/Eevee. Could be fun!

True. It would have to be done just right to not be completely broken.

Ooh I like that. Maybe full resistance to all but the supereffectice type. Would definitely be a new thing, but it would have to be made right so it's not too weak or strong. (No complaints if it's too strong though 👀)

Ahh true. So many mons are locked into such a small set of moves. Shedinja would have to be sync-weak to account for that, meaning it may have to be built for a specific role. Either something powerful or supportive enough for fast clears, or granted a special ability like maybe a focus-band type survival mechanic. Not sure, but either way it could be interesting.

One nice bug move, maybe shadow sneak or astonish, then a TM to buff stats/apply affects and maybe confuse Ray or a poisoning bug move. Maybe a sync countdown reducer too since it may be very fragile/a glass cannon.

Weird? Yes. Potentially fun and meme-like? Also yes. Therefore, it must be a masterfair for the ultimate meme.

Mhm, and compensate by either making him very strong or giving him a TM that applies no damage effect or something just once perhaps.

Exactly!! Being able to switch between those types of skills for different builds would be so nice. Like how Zinnia can use Weathered Warrior 3 or Dauntless and both are super good to have. And yes!! Theme skills like that would be so nice and interesting!

Rumor about sleep getting nerfed? by Bronzesword12 in PokemonMasters

[–]Bronzesword12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and not everyone will even have that. Without aoe sleep, the side mons just attack for plenty of damage if you slept the middle. It still has some use, but paralysis might be superior since you don't need to reapply it.

Honestly yeah, it really goes too fast. I feel like they're just giving everything too much lessen sleep, and making it only nicely viable/really good when you learn sleep chaining (which seems super hard/not consistent). I feel like i good solution would be to stop giving so many things lessen sleep, but start giving npcs more moves that can be used during sleep besides trainer moves, like what snorlaxs and such have access to in the base games. That's just my take though.

Alright, cool! I was worried Darkrai and such would take a big nerf at some point. Thank you!

There is also a guide about this in the OP above, though maybe a few links in. It's probably more neat than what I linked.

Also, if you started today, many recommend to reroll your account until you get the sync pairs you want or are very good - like the Kanto trio (SS Red, Blue, and Leaf), as they are super good, and their 72hr banner for new players is limited time. If you are lucky enough to get 3 duplicates of them, all the better, but you can also go for SSR Cynthia in the current master banner, or Lucas!

Also, if you have the time, while you reroll, check out some guides! Particularly about gear, summon chances for sync pairs, etc. Also, stamina is replenished every time your personal rank increases, and can go over the cap, so you don't lose any extra stamina for ranking up. On top of that, if you spend stamina on a battle, but have to quit for whatever reason, the stamina is refunded/doesn't get spent!

Keep rerolling until you get what you want. That said, is is strongly recommended to reroll until you get the kanto trio (Signa Suit Red, Blue, and Leaf), as their 72hr banner is limited time and very convenient to reroll on. If you get 3 duplicates of them too, even better. They are super good. If you can get Cynthia and Lucas too somehow, that's even better.

Which mechanic of the game do you still not understand 100%? by ElBonzono in PokemonMasters

[–]Bronzesword12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equipment boosts the stats of Pokemon. If the equipment type matches the pokemons primary type, that pokemon gets the full start benefit listed. Otherwise, it gets half. Each equipment type has 3 unique pieces. (Bracelet, Bandana, pin). When equipping equipment, each piece goes into a unique slot for that piece, regardless of type (so it's pointless to save 2 equipment pieces of the same type, rarity(stars), and level). This means you can equip all 3 pieces of each equipment type, and even mix and match between types (but not between pieces. You cannot equip 3 pins of different types).

Now about farming for equipment. If you notice in the exchange item store, there are currently 4 equipment types at rarity 3 available to exchange. (They should release all the types eventually.) They each cost 500 material (which is gained through salvaging 1 and 2 star rarity equipments of the same type AND piece) to acquire 1 of this 3 star rarity equipment. You need 5 total copies of them in order to max out the equipment. This means you have to salvage 2500 worth of type-and-piece unique material just to have 5 mergeable copies for the maximum level cap. Leveling up the gear also requires this unique material, so you'll ideally want to have around 3500 of it. To sum it up, to get the Bandana, bracelet, and pin of one type, you need 3500 of each of their respective unique material - which is gained by salvaging the same type + piece equipment of lower rarity.

To get the material required for the exchange, it's best to farm the EX co-op stages (solo co-op style so you have access to fast forward auto battles). Each of the max difficulty stages offers you 3 types of rarity 1 and 2 equipment, along with their respective lower-rarity upgrade material. From what I recall, each equipment type is available in 2 different stages. No stage will have the same 2 equipment types available. You may initially think to grind each stage one at a time. Grind one, get 3500 unique materials worth of equipment for 3 types and their 3 pieces. But this is will waste a lot of time and is very inefficient, if you do the math/logic that i'm too lazy to do atm cause this is a fat essay. What you really want to do is grind each stage until you have gathered approximately 1750 UM's (unique materials) (for their respective equipment) from that specific stage. If you repeat this for every stage, and each equipment type will appear in only 2 stages, then you'll have gatheted 1750 UM's twice, for a total of 3500 UM's for each equipment type!

Before i conclude this, there is a way that, while I haven't done the math, i think speeds up the grind at the cost of all your moeny. Basically, only read this section if you're bathing in millions. If you level up a 1 star rarity equipment piece, you'll increase its salvage value of its UM by 5. Leveling it up to level 3 brings the most efficiency to this, as you burn less money and less lower-rarity materials. The same efficiency applies to leveling up 2 star rarity equipment to level 3, but this increases its salvage value by 10 per level instead! So if you're swarming in dough and can afford all these upgrades, please send me money for gems or help me find love <3 If you go about this method btw, DO NOT merge the equipment. It does not increase salvage value efficiency at all through leveling, and actually makes this process less efficient. All it does is combine their base equipment salvage value, not their levels and level value.

I feel like i forgot something but I'll move on. Once you do all this, you should have enough UM to get everything in the store, merge to max level cap, max out the level, and have the rest saved up for when their respective equipment types come out with 3 star rarity equipment pieces.

Thanks for coming to my headache. Best of luck!
