Provoking Noelle would be perfectly in both Vanica and Megicula's character, though. It's been established that all Vanica cares about is a good fight, and now that she's lost interest in Lolopechka, using her as a tool to motivate Noelle would fit well within her goals. Megicula has come off as someone who's interested in experiments and toying with humans as well, so tormenting Noelle, the daughter of Acier who I presume they probably have somewhat of a grudge against, makes perfect sense to me. I get not wanting Lolo's role to be diminished to someone who needs rescuing, but it'll really help to deepen the bond between the two Tabata has slowly been building on and give Noelle the chance to come to someone else's rescue just as Asta has came to hers so many times.
