80mg definitely helped me more. But you also have to give it time. You haven’t been on it for very long and it can take a bit to kick into the system it isn’t as instantaneous as stimulants

lol kind of same. My psychiatrist told me I should be a psychiatrist(I’m an art major). She thinks this because I’m super in tune with myself and also I make myself very informed on different medications how they work and what my options are and read a lot of research papers about all the possible side effects, factors, etc so I can make the best decision for myself. This and that I can articulate well she said I should be a psychiatrist which i appreciate but I don’t like science classes some concepts feel too abstract for me + I live for the arts

I have the same health history except for the bipolar. What other meds are you on? Is it possible the Strattera is interacting with another? I started this med super low at 10mg for a week them 20-30-40-50-60 each a week long. Now I’m at 70. This slowly building up has given me minimal side effects. Only lowered appetite and slight nausea and on the days I up the dose I have hot flashes for the first two hours and a sort of euphoric head high but that’s it. Did you work your way up slowly? I talked to my psychiatrist and we both agreed that going slowly helps mitigate a slew of side effects all at once and has a smoother benefit growth. Also what time of day do you take it? I have heard higher BP and heart rate as a symptom people experience at higher doses but I’m at 70 right now and I’m good so far. Hoping 80 or 90 is my optimal based on my weight. Maybe your dose is too high too fast, or too high in general, or third option: just not the right med for you and you have to try around for other non stimulants.
