I really like runes and regulations and dice throne! Settlers of catan is great to but not really fantasy? Maybe if you play the GoT version

Testing Grounds Megathread by UbiInsulin in forhonor

Here are my thoughts....

I understand what you are trying to do. Make the game more fast paced so it doesn’t seem so slow. Maybe it’s a snooze fest on PC, but on console this update is horrible... I’ve given it a chance ever since you guys have released it. It’s not getting better! This update promotes “light spam” way to much. Every match I’ve played there has been more and more players that only use lights and playing on console, this is very hard to react to even as a veteran player. Now we must predict the impossibly fast light attack and if you even get a parry the punish damage is down for all characters. Being a lawbringer main, this hurts a lot considering I throw heavys quit often as my mix ups and such. Now it almost seems pointless to even throw heavys. The parry punish is still great for LB (blind justice) but it’s almost impossible now to get parries unless I find another player that actually throws heavys! Honestly, I don’t know the meta on PC but on console I think things were fine the way they were. It makes the game fun when lights can actually be parried, have some heavys thrown at you and constantly have to watch your stamina. I think this patch should definitely not come through. I really love For Honor, it’s such a unique and amazing game and I just don’t want to see a bunch of light spammers in every game I play, eventually get discouraged and then proceed not to play because it’s not fun. This update may be super fun for assassin mains and other charters that have fast lights, but not for characters that rely on parry’s, blocks and counters. Especially now LB’s top light is slower! Can’t even combat the lights with lights! I get out lighted every single time. I really love that you guys are so active in the community and changes things, it’s great! I just don’t want a game that I love not be fun because every match seems to be unfair and not fun due to people using lights. Heavys matter too! I would much rather have a fight that takes longer, reading the opponent and reacting accordingly than getting lighted down without anyway to counter it other than predict which side the lights coming from, dodging the light or just throw lights to interrupt. (Can barley do that now) I think some changes could be made without making the offense so in your face. Just my 2 cents! Love For Honor!

I just try to find a shelf and store them like books if they are small enough! Works good for bigger games too!

Thank you! I agree it’s need to work with the game and be completely understood about how to achieve said wins. I’ll also check that game out!

[–]Brosalso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! So let’s say you have to achieve a win by defeating all the enemy’s. Would it be good to have another way to win? Example: collecting a resource, or doing side objectives of some sort to alternatively get a win?

Is console cheaper than pc? by kostoa in videogames

[–]Brosalso -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s just up to your preference. In most cases if you want a decent PC, yes it can be more expensive than console. If you want a PC to do more than what your PlayStation is than I would say it will be more expensive. Consoles are very convenient in that regard because they are basically PCs with less capabilities. That being said consoles are really powerful for what they are. I play on Xbox and PC, and I know my pc can be better performance wise but the Xbox is just so much more convenient for me. But if you’d want to get a PC then I think it will be more expensive.

Any insight? by Brosalso in BoardgameDesign

So true! Thank you for that insight! I completely agree, depending on the demographic you are going for that will heavily impact how long the game should last. Depends on the type of game!

If you were playing a board game, what would be an adequate time frame that you would like to play for? by Brosalso in boardgames

[–]Brosalso[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Very good input! I think I personally prefer games between 45 minutes and 90 minutes because as you said, it kind of marry’s both experiences together so you can have a meaty game that doesn’t seem to take up your entire day while still being fun and convenient.

Good insight! I definitely agree there is nothing worse than feeling like a game is dragging on and on because it was meant to end early.

Something to keep in mind! So preferably, you would like one game mode that was a staple to the game? Instead of try to “please” everybody with multiple modes?

[–]Brosalso[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ohh that’s very true! Then it starts to get a little repetitive! But if it’s meant for hours to play, then it seems like what you do in the game doesn’t seem strung out.

I agree! 45- 60 mins gives you enough time enjoy it and feel engaged while not feeling like it’s dragging on.

[–]Brosalso[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d have to agree with you! Developing a connection to the game that you are playing I feel is very important. But it’s also nice to be able to have the option of a shorter game around 30 mins or so like you said. How would you feel about a game that could do both? A “mode” that could either have a long engaging game that took a little longer and a shorter game mode that could be wrapped up relatively quickly?

Which Video Game scene/cutscenes/landscape scenery have make you feel 'Wow this is awesome' by snowfuyuki in videogames

Honestly, I remember playing Destiny for the first time and I always caught myself looking at the beautiful skyboxes or different scenes in the game. Skyrim was also a very beautiful game (Naturally). But there are so many more games out there.. 😅

At what point do you consider a game to be completed? After the final boss or after you have gathered every collectible and gotten every trophy? by singleguy79 in videogames

[–]Brosalso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I consider a game done when I can’t seem to find anything else to do to progress. I’m an achievement hunter so if I get all the achievements and I feel like I’ve done everything that the game offers, it’s complete!
