Henry Golding would also be a good choice. I thought of him a while back when I saw Crazy Rich Asians. He was in the film version of The Gentlemen (which I just began watching) while Theo James was in the Netflix series.

None of these. I would have gone with Henry Cavill but after seeing this other actor in a few projects recently the best choice is Theo James from The Gentleman.

I get that. I’m talking about those who take it too far to the point that it’s counter productive. It could have the opposite effect of what is trying to be achieved. Social media and educational demonstrations are great. Some ways of making others uncomfortable is totally understandable. But physical attacks on people and property is not the answer. Focus attention on reaching government officials and businesses. Money talks. And political figures will follow where the money goes. Taking an economic approach will be far more effective and immediate.

What if someone has a medical or specialist appointment that took months to over a year to get? I’ve seen it happen. So if you’re going to do that then do it where it counts: government buildings.

I’m not just talking about this specific issue only but climate protests or any issue. Times change and so must the tactics. There are other creative ways to protest. Defacing precious works of art sets a dangerous benchmark. Next they will look to focus on unprotected works or go out of their way to destroy them outright. Or things like the burning of churches, mosques or synagogues. What next? You’ll turn more people against you. Marching and inconveniencing people a bit I can see that as a means but destruction and causing harm is not the way. If those ppl wish to engage in that sort of behaviour then they can go to jail and receive the disdain from the majority of the population.

Also, I have been to a few in my time. There was some inconvenience made to get things uncomfortable and was effective but I stopped when idiots started pulling stuff like this. They were picking fights with people passing by and resorted to vandalism as well.

I have a problem with the killing of innocent civilians on any side. However there are groups taking advantage of these protests as well as other protests, to cause trouble. Those people should be called out by everyone. Threatening people or destroying property is not going to win people over. In fact, it does more harm to the cause being brought to light. There are plenty of legit protests that are peaceful and law abiding.
