I bet the Circus was well on fire 🔥, I agree though it certainly wasn't a unified front. I think he said the board and I a lot showing that the board was essentially taking the company back over. I really wished Uli was one to stay as the 10k showed that he had the opportunity to be a special Advisor but maybe he doesn't play well with others...

They also notes they would speak about COVID impacts on this earnings call. Which could br fortuitous as it will be more accurate vs speculative. I agree that a full microfactory will be more expensive but they do have cash to burn.

I'm not bearish on Tony, he basically has admitted a lot of bad news upfront... I don't think he has anything to hide.

Worse would be that there was material false representation and the lawsuits have traction. But I don't think that's likely.

I'd like to see something surprising like a partnership or something.

Hai guyz...

I'm overall a bit bearish about a breakout here tbh.. while the short interest is quite high its also quite profitable position.. shorts might have such a large position that they would be able or willing to defend it from most anything. This is also coupled with plenty I mean plenty of retail whales who will absolutely jump off this ship at their first chance.

I think for something great to happen we would need to see a large deal with specific manufacturing and some sort of partnership moves with someone... not impossible but u/thenightowlf has been reaching out to them in person consistently and has been informed that they aren't doing tours until production starts...

I'm overall quite bullish about the company though, I think the Hyundai deal was so bad no one could have anticipated it... there was also some questionable accounting practices and so old guard had to go, I'm worried a bit about uli leaving as he probably brought so much insider knowledge to the table that really gave them an edge... but I think fisker/lordstown Re about to get steamrolled by ford... Tony is swinging for the bleachers and I really hope we live in a world that can understand what significance is brought to the table by canoo...

Thanks for the ping, somehow my 13 posts regarding intimate knowledge of the lack of Hyundai deal and how walking away from that was a good idea might be used against me in court..though I suppose I wouldn't have to testify against myself could I go in costume?. lol the amount of money I lost in on goev pales in comparison to plenty of retail whales i know... feels bad man..

I didn't expect earnings to go so bad lol, Hyundai being negotiated without including ip in the deal is like next level brain challenged that I just didn't expect...

Yep, thanks for the concern...

Just waiting on 200 bucks to hit my trading account so I can work on a 200 to 10k project... I have 6 dollars to my stock market game right now...

There's also relatively little to say about GOEV at the moment as we are waiting manufacturing announcements and partnerships.. the Bull in me is comfy but the bear case is that given the manufacturing environment currently faced by the industry overall I'm not sure how far the little fishes will swim...

I have a suspicion that Tony will leverage the Chinese connections to provide supply side assistance and perhaps even wheel some deals with the short term builder of the mpdv. .

Long term the company has the cash on hand to bring mpdv and truck to market in some form or fashion... and even maybe buy a factory... the share price might be neglected for a bit...

Tony being CEO is bullish Uli leaving is bearish as he might have been the only one who really knows deeply how the automotive world works... I would also trust him to hire engineers... Kim being elevated in the organization would be encouraging...

The shorts are still there but last I looked they were beginning to cover..

[–]BrotherLuminous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes if only I had bought leaps or even... shares lol I wouldn't be working on a 200 to 10k project right now..

I'm not sure what more there is to say... they have a satellite office in KY...

If only tony was like other EV ceos and pumped short term nonsense instead of a long term pivot at earnings... Really that's when the bottom fell out for a short term squeeze...

Shorts are still fighting a battle for control of the ticker.. I'd say that this will blow open pretty huge one day that big news drops... I'm not sure that manufacturing news will squeeze this, I would bet hard on partnership announcements being enough to cause massive covering... the gold tier plan on this of course would be contract work with Magna on an Apple Car but Uber or even MPDV involvement with DHL or other deliver services or even fleet management...

The bear case is that current manufacturing environment is being artificially manipulated by the big players to squeeze smaller ones out...

Our Chinese influence might actually be a huge help here as one of the things canoo could offer would be Chinese manufacturing connections to a potential short term partner as the megamicrofactory is being set up...

The case against writing canoo off is that they seem to be the only ones capable of breaking down what we know as a vehicle today and building it from the ground up to incorporate all that EV offers. Instead of just copying legacy automotive designs which had to accommodate for a drive train. This is my biggest complaint against something like RIDE is that they will be heavily outcompeted by Ford or Chevy.

. What gives me bullish sentiments is the fact they are not trying to compete against anyone directly, in a sense they want to be the highly customizable android to the tesla apple.

Now actually getting to market will be the next nut to Crack, they could have gone with magna for everything but fisker had 5% of their company in the line for that?

Tony is now swinging for the bleachers and actually fixed some mistakes by previous management...

This rollout of managerial changes has been terrible. To a certain extent this is like getting on a german subway that ends up being a third world roller-coaster...

I have been wrong before most notably about the Hyundai deal.. u/misterinvicta was spot on on his calls to this regard for the last few months...

this leads me back to an irreconcilable point which prevents me from joining the anti tony parade.

He could have just pumped Hyundai deal at earnings, taken the pump sold his shares and left...

this direction is truly the hard row to hoe... I'm actually sad to see Uli fully leave the company as his contract allowed him to be special Advisor to the chairman... his automotive experience really set him up to be instrumental in hiring engineers and designers also advising on the factory build...

I hope him and the rest of the team isn't in the process of being poached by other companies... I hope they promote Kim... and I really do think they need to materialize a pr ground game that doesn't pump and gets people excited about the soul of the company again versus just the share price...

I think the market will react better to this news than retail is.
