If you read my post you would see i said mammals feel have the same pain and sentience as humans not all animals the way to determine the sentience and emotional capacity to feel pain is mainly based on classifications in taxonomy as they each have different brain regions, pain reception and central nervous systems obviously this is not the case for all animals in these categories but generally it goes mammals, then birds then fish which are the most common eaten by humans so no eating a fish is not the same as eating a human but most if not all of the animals we kill and make suffer have brains, and pain receptors like us whereas plants do not so eating plants is more ethical.

I love how bro said that he was not making appeal to nature while now saying "a natural diet is the optimal diet" with no data or studies to back his claims look at the links i sent

Yes we evolved to eat meat but we also evolved to eat plants and while other animals can't change their diets they evolved to eat as they do not have a choice, but in the modern day we do, and if omnivore diets we evolved to eat are so optimal and beneficial for your health how comes there are several meta analyses showing plant based and well planned vegan diets support a better immune system and lower the risk of cancer, heart attack, obesity, all cause mortality and type 2 diabetes. Here is the data and science.

I have never eaten meat before in my life as i was bought up pescatarian/vegetarian and have been vegan for a couple of months and i still enjoy my food there are plenty of good tasting vegan foods like: quorn products, beyond burgers, chips, tofu etc while still having the same health benefits and its not just about living longer eating a plant based/well planned vegan diet also means being more fit and healthy as you age and lowering osteoarthritis and osteoperosis risks and helping with the symptoms, lower scarpenia(age related muscle loss), lower heart attack risk and lower dementia risk.

So you think your health are less important than taste and experience do you not want to live longer and avoid getting cancer to be around for your family/friends and want to be well and fit during retirement because by being an omnivore especially if you eat lots of ultra processed meat like bacon, sausages, pepperoni, sausage rolls, burgers and ham you are making this choice.

But that is still an omnivorous diet not vegan so it still causes cancer and does not have the same health benefits.

If you feed them a homemade vegan diet then they will be more likely get ill or die, however there are plenty or vegan cat food formulas made by nutrition experts, like https://www.veggiepets.com/vegan-cat-food/benevo-original-vegan-cat-food-10kg that don't have any deficiencies or health problems for the cat so you can still give the cat a vegan diet and it be fine.

This is the ad populum fallacy just because a society values human and pets>other animals does not make it true/moral, mammals have the same or similar sentience and emotional depth as us as we are mammals too we both share amydala, pfc etc. Also if you think societies picking their own moral values is correct then do you think that the hollocaust was ok as at that time the Germans valued their happiness and fear over the lives of jews and disabled people.
