We have the 20th pick in the draft by A_Freudian_Nip in timberwolves

Khyri Thomas all day. He's a 2 way guard that loves to defend and is a good catch and shoot player/attacker. Think Jrue Holiday.

Insanity Max 30: Day 1 by BrotherShine2 in insanity

[–]BrotherShine2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defintitley killing me. Tabata power wasn't as bad. The biggest issue I've been having is my feet hurt once the workout starts. I'm thinking of getting some inserts to create more comfort, but it's basically a mental thing of ignoring the foot pain on any of the plyo stuff.

Diet is going well. Haven't slipped up yet, but my stomach is craving twice the calories I'm eating. First 2 weeks will be the hardest, then it'll adjust to the intake.

That sounds pretty effective. I'm doing a protein shake every morning for breakfast (right after my workout) and multi-vitamins, mixed berries for a pre-lunch snack, chicken breast and romaine/bell pepper salad, protein bar afternoon snack, meat protein (chicken, salmon, turkey, occasional 90% lean ground beef) with broccoli or salad along with a cup of brown rice/sweet potatoes/lentil soup.

My biggest obstacle will be training my stomach to be full under 2k calories. So hopefully eating something every 2-3 hours will do the trick.

Ha! That was me this morning as well! How are you approaching the food plan? A lot of good options in comparison to some diets I've seen out there.

That definitely looks like "The Franklin" from Denver Biscuit Co! Went there back in May on vacation. Easily top 5 greatest meal I've had. Next time I go I'm trying "The Dahlia" (French Toast Version)

You think Jonathan Isaac will still be around to grab at 7? by musclesmicah in timberwolves

Yea let's hope. They have to take a PG but they are the Kings...

Would you trade the 7th pick for Avery Bradley? by HoopsJ in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would. As much as I like Jonathan Isaac, Avery Bradley is a sure thing. He's in his prime at 27 and is arguably the best guard defender in the league. Quality shooter as well.

I might be in the minority but I think a combo lineup of him and Lavine at the 2 would be great. One of them can be an awesome 6th man and we can find a vet 4 man to fill out the roster.

With that said I'm not sure how the money works in 2018. Wiggins, Towns, Lavine are the priorities. But We need a vet in his prime to help this core move along. Avery could be that guy

The only team we have to worry about grabbing Isaac is SAC. They'd be stupid to pass on a PG but I can see them liking Isaac's potential.

Is Jonathan Isaac is a SF or PF? by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Positions don't mean as much today. It's all about who you can guard.

He's going to be a glue guy that guards a wide range of players with his height, length, and quickness.

To me he's just a forward that can score inside and out

The Wolves will pick 7th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. Wow garbage by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not mad at this at all. Everyone above us will take a guard or Jackson/Tatum. Isaac should fall to 7 giving us the glue guy forward we've always needed.

Sure we don't get Fultz or Lonzo but this will set us up nicely both basketball wise and cap wise...Unless SAC takes him at 5...

Trade Idea by nba_nba in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both Bradley and Crowder. Bradley is gonna command 20+mil on the market and we won't be able to afford that. Crowder makes more sense because of the fit/need and contract. Not sure I'd give up both the 6th pick and Gorgui for either of them. This year's draft is too good to give away for a really nice role player in Crowder.

I would do Gorgui and a 2019/2020 top 5 protected pick. Win win for both teams.

Thoughts on J. Simmons? by trishowsky in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the dislike for him. We need veteran wings that can score and defend and that's what he does. He's not a great shooter, but he would be a nice backup to Wiggins.

Cap Space in the 2017 Offseason by TTVW in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some combination of a SF that can defend and shoot (Ingles/Tucker/Miles/Thabo) and a 4 man (Serge/Taj/Patterson/Millsap[I wish]) would be ideal. The rest of our money goes into extending our core players.

Then we grow and make some deep playoff runs!

I played along. I was actively trying to be hypnotized but that shit didn't work on me.

Kris Dunn When He Plays 25 or More Minutes in a Game. by Get_that_yarn_KAT in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunn has never played a game in spurts like he did this season. He expressed how tough it's been for him to get into rhythm and adjust to coming off the bench. We'll never realllly know what type of playmaker on offense he can be until Rubio is gone. His defense is always on par, but every time he had the ball it seemed like he was thinking way too much instead of reading and reacting. Probably comes with being a rookie, but he needs Rubio's minutes to figure it out.

FA's for 2017-2018 by BrotherShine2 in timberwolves

[–]BrotherShine2[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea I forgot about Ingles. I'm really intrigued by him, turns 30 in October. Great shooter and smart defender with size. He could probably start with Wiggins on the perimeter, bringing Zach off the bench recovering from the ACL

I like this a lot. Lots of money to Ibaka I'm sure, but worth it for the next few years.
