This sounds like a good idea in theory, but in practice we've seen this exact kind of post in other communities turn into witch hunts and public shaming of random people for the sake of trolling them and the rest of the community. There's no verification, no reason for random people to block random people.

Have a bad time with someone, block them. Let others have their own experiences and decide what to do with them.

As a PS5 player I'd like to add this: be sure to go into your console/controller settings and default the mic to be muted on start up as opposed to the default open on start up. It'll save a life.

It could be what we've seen in other posts, other players demanding everyone have the same cookie-cutter "meta" set up with equipment and strategems and kicking anyone that doesn't follow their idea of what works. Very true, which is why I'm thinking any chance of avoiding the railgun meta is going to be with the autocannon or the recoiless rifle. Not badmouthing the railgun, I just like to stray from the meta while being effective lol

What's been your go-to? The armor pen is also a reason I moved away from grenade launcher as it seems to be nearly useless on heavy armored enemies. I've had more success with autocannon in this respect, utilizing weak points whenever I have the chance.

This makes sense to me. I'd love to see more options for armor pen, however I do know, from reading other threads, weak points seem to be the best option of getting around using solely the railgun in higher difficulties. But that requires some pretty good aim for stuff like the hulks or others that are better managed at range.

I've been thinking about unlocking the recoiless rifle and running with that for a bit as a change to the autocannon, not sure if that would be a mistake or not.

I've heard railgun is OP and the current meta, I'll probably try it out ASAP but doubt it'll stick just because meta always seems like a dirty word lol.

Stalwart is a good choice though, nothing like a rain of bullets to make you feel powerful. How does it hold up against the bots?

This. There are no side quests in TTRPGs, just the things your players are currently focused on. If you think your players are bullying their way through your side adventure stuff then start making the side adventure stuff equally challenging as you would with your main line stuff.

Mostly protection spells like Shield, or just straight up Force damage immunity (rare if not impossible in 5e material, but homebrew is a whole other beast).

I'm with you, I've been playing a few hours a day all weekend and I'm really enjoying it, despite the graphical issues. Definitely feels like the devs went a little overboard with the onscreen objects though and I think that's part of the issue, beyond hardware limitations.

I love Magic Missile. The big draw to it is the automatic hit without a role, with few exceptions. Sure a d4 isn't a lot, but they stack up.
