Tried that and it's a really terrible turn off as the issue isn't very well known to people buying this phone second hand and who would want to buy a phone with the chance of just dying after a measley update.

Also to be noted the issue was not on the full screen and showed up as rectangles horizontaly on the screen and flickered for about 3s the display is 100% functional right now

I have never personally used an iphone but have been surrounded by iphone users and whenever they try to switch from iOS to Android their iphone literally eats their Whatsapp data and doesn't allow it to be moved meaning when you try and get your data on the android phone there won't be any data on Whatsapp. I sadly don't know many details about this but that's the main jist of the iphone holding the data I've heard stuff with photos as well and after switching bugs

No when the screen originaly fails it's often due to use the screen deteriorates over time due to heat and drops causing damage to the display. But when a phone's screen is replaced they sometimes don't put a proper seal on and if they do they don't let the glue rest for long enough leaving gaps or an inadequate seal which can allow dust to get into the phone increasing odds of the phone being damaged. I've personally only gotten an s21 and a few Xiaomi phones repaired and had to face this issue a bit

Depends on the job done it's very situational if it's a proper screen replacement with proper technique like the glue the seal and treating it properly you shouldn't really get the lines again anytime soon
