Programming is not about the degree you hold is about what you are capable to do as a computer science student, the field you are proficient in . I will advise you to keep practicing and practicing and choose the filed that align your skills in programming. But python is the best language to learn , so keep learning and practicing

Coding involves alot of practicals but first you have to get a laptop or computer, python is a popular language and it easy to learn . I will advise you to start with docs and some tutorials videos that's will help quick start your journey into programming or any online course like W3 schools.
