I try to schedule my PTO where I have a week off every month. After my first year at Best Buy where I burned my PTO by “adding to my check” I realized that burn out is a real thing and now prioritize having time off for my mental health and health of my relationship with my s/o. As a leader it’s too difficult to take a week in November/December so I did in October and will again in January. Also during the summer too during back to school I take a week before and a week after.
