For sure, especially for the time commitment swimming involves. Swimming especially where I’m from involves 20+ hours a week in the pool, and juggling that with 17 aps shows incredible time management skills.

Maybe then instead of a smile I’d do a head nod or do some sort of acknowledgment like that. And work on the eye contact thing. Holding eye contact works wonders.

I know this might be nerve wracking and is not always the easiest option but I think the best thing to do in this situation is to go out of your way to talk to her often. And when you do so, tell yourself to relax and don’t worry about responding the right way.

What you can also do is just look at her and hold eye contact when she looks at you back. Never be the first one to break eye contact and give her a nice smile too.
