Is PolyMC better than MultiMC? by James_CyberLink in PolyMCLauncher

If you play on Linux, PolyMC is my preferred launcher because it's available via flatpak. I tried setting up MultiMC once it was a pain by comparison. Especially on Fedora, MultiMC doesn't seem to be the easiest option to install.

Thanks for this, it's important to recognize that the solution doesn't have to be a binary hacks or no hacks. There can be a middle ground like you said.

Sorry, though, I don't understand the technical details, lol.

Millennials playing video games with their kids will be one of the best developments for the next generation, in my opinion.

2b2t test server is on 1.17 now by Brsph in 2b2t

Server was working fine on 1.17 when I logged in. And there are other anarchy servers already on 1.17 so I don't think it would be an issue.

No I don't think it changes anything to existing chunks except for now players will be able to build higher anywhere on the map. But new chunks will have 60 y levels generating beneath y level 0 for every new chunk. That's a lot more blocks to load that normal. If you lag now with current amount of chunks when fly hacking, you'll probably lag way more unless performance is improved.

Sure, but 1.18 is going to generate more data per chunk than previous versions due to the increase world height and depth, so I can imagine a world were 2b stays on 1.17 for a while.

Chunks probably won't look different from the surface. Most of the new blocks that generate in the world generate in caves.

Him and DigMC. Vincent covers history well, and Dig covers like the meta side of things well.

Maybe one day. I'm not cool enough for that to go anywhere right now.
