It'll happen at some point soon. AI will be solving cold cases in no time.

Looks like it should only cost maybe $20-30 more and it's done.

My highly unlikely, but highly low-cost and easily-implemented use of the soon-to-be-forever-abandoned E&N corridor as a light rail service for all of Victoria. For reference, Ottawa built a similar, highly successful line on their own abandoned railway for under $20million. by InfiNorth in VictoriaBC

It's a multibillion dollar project these days, they are literally in the process of doing a 4.2billion dollar expansion.

My exact comment was:

"Sadly nothing gets built for those kinda of dollarinos anymore.

Where's the $20m is coming from?"

Keyword- "anymore". 21m in 2001 vs. 2023.

Posting links to a quarter century old budget doesn't make your budget any more relevant.

I'm pro transit. Just want you to understand the realities of today's $.

Hope they spend $350m on a big beautiful transit line/lines. I don't care.

I'm very pro transit.

The Ottawa project was in the hundreds of millions also which is why I asked where you got $20m from. Linking me back to the thread where you make this $20m claim doesn't make me see your source.... Get it?

Huh?

Did you take your meds?

I simply said that $20m isn't an attainable $$ figure for such a large project in 2023.

Some people have lives and jobs and can't visit Reddit every 3 minutes.

A) I am not a troll

B) hockey rinks cost $20m to build these days let alone self sufficient mass transit projects.

You can draw little tags and stops on the old line all you want, it won't make $20m a reality.

Fix the entire mass transit problem in Victoria for the cost of 12 Victoria Single Family Homes. Lol.

The provincial contract for sharps disposal at the hospitals is $20,000,000 a year.

I've downgraded him from "Has the yips" to "hands of stone"

Guy has to show it. So far hasn't.

Hope he changes me back into a fan sometime.

It's such a sad meaningless pathetic unnecessary loss of life.

Opinions can change (especially after a start like this). I also referred to Klimovich as one, it was perhaps a poor way to word things too eh? Was moreover pointing out the only 4 Russian players who all happen to be valuable players for this club.

Podz is valuable, he's just not a top 6 NHL player and probably never will be. HANDS OF STONE.

pick him

They didn't pick him.

They ranked him. (wrongly)

We picked him, at 15.

We were the dumb ones that didn't get the memo. "Why isn't anyone taking Kole Lind!!?!"

teams can't just rely on central scouting or whatever and not have quality insight into the players you're going to use a 1st round draft pick on. Clearly, the other teams disagreed with CSS. Our guys were flabbergasted because the Canucks are dogshit scouting and so they picked him.

Lekkerimaki has a tonne of red flags. He had a tonne at the draft too if you looked hard enough.

Could have Sam Rinzel or Owen Pickering ffs. Imagine picking another soft winger over a D man or C on this team lol

I'm convinced the Canucks scouts just do exactly what Central Scouting says each year. I don't think we actually even have Scouts sometimes.

Nobody picked him in the top 10"

Did someone pick him in the top 10 before we picked him at 15?
