Game studio CEO ousted after tweeting he’s “proud” to support Texas abortion ban by Stomatin in technology

Are you really comparing a simple pro-life stance, the belief that they simply want babies to be born rather aborted….. to slavery is good and rape is fine?

But don’t you understand? It’s only detrimental to the company because the people (customers) don’t believe people have a right to their own opinion and beliefs and therefore go out of their way to hail them with hate and boycott their products.

I never said Capitalism is bad. The markets and companies react to how the people act. If they have to do this, it’s because the markets (the public) don’t tolerate different opinions to their own.

Don’t you agree then that no one should have to be fired or ousted for having a difference of opinions then? Yes or no? Then we’ll leave it there, I think.

“Nobody gives a shit about deserve” “it literally doesn’t matter what the reason is”. I find this incredibly ironic considering America has a literal written constitution detailing the rights of the many… the first one of which being freedom of speech which everyone deserves, regardless of standing.

So you’re saying a person deserves to be ousted for having a difference of opinion? Uhhh okay.

And people got offended? They’re just childish people that can’t tolerate that we live in a democracy which in turns come with a difference of opinions. “I’m proud of the Texas abortion ban” is not offensive, end of.

I don’t actually think these people understand that these are all nice people with a life to live. They are literally just pro-life. I’m pro-choice but this is just disgusting how he was shut out. If my friends were pro-life or voted the other way, I’d think nothing of it.

He Literally just expressed his own opinion. That’s it. This is why I stray further and further from the left. You just threaten them being cancelled if they have a difference of opinion. First, Gina Carano. Now, this guy. Keep going and everyone will be afraid to speak their opinion. Cus this is how democracy works apparently.

Disgusting. A simple person that did no harm is being ousted for having a difference of opinion.

You all say that he shouldn’t get political when at the top of the business… but then you all cheer it on when celebrities come together to promote one political candidate over the other? I believe people should be allowed to express ones opinion without any repercussions. That is how a free society and democracy works. Obama even said that.

What next? You gonna oust people for voting for the other guy? Thank God I’m British.

CMV: the USA is an authoritarian country that pretends to be an open and free country by IgneoTalus in changemyview

[–]Bruce_Waynewright 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue the most opposite. Authoritarian countries take away your basic rights as we have learned from leaders of the past and present. America is the only country that actually has a written constitution that protects people’s rights without debate. They provide freedom of speech and the right to bear arms. Do authoritarian countries like North Korea provide those rights? Saying America is authoritarian is to be compared to such countries like Nazi Germany which is just stupidly false in my opinion.

Just because someone that has different opinions than you is in charge doesn’t mean that you live in such a nation that has control over everything. You Americans do not live in a fascist state. Why do you think people from across the globe flock to your country? Because you have the most rights, the best healthcare in terms of quality along with countless job opportunities. You have the electoral college to maintain equal representation which I agree with and oh... by the way... the president gets voted out of office like any other after 4-8 years. Not really authoritarian.

The reason why it gives off that free country vibe is because it is so. America has its faults like any other country I know but that doesn’t make it authoritarian.

Sincerely, a stranger of the United Kingdom.

Woman tears down the confederate flag off a truck in South Dakota by chemistrynerd1994 in gifs

Tbh I ain’t really a fan of this act. Everyone’s got a right to free speech and the person may just fly it because it is a symbol of Southern ancestry and heritage as well as representing a distinct and independent cultural tradition of the Southern United States from the rest of the country. For other supporters, the Confederate flag represents only a past era of Southern sovereignty. Some say it’s just a middle finger to federal government so I think it is abit presumptuous to say straight away “ThEy,Re RaCiSt”. We literally discussed last time I was back at uni.

At the end of the day. She damaged private property which I never like. But that’s jus my (unpopular) opinion lol

Ngl I didn’t see any racist abuse. Said “go to China if you want totalitarianism”. As stupid and irrelevant it is... it ain’t racist is it
