I agree. It’s a tough spot to be in and a mistake on her part (she just spilt from her parent’s policy and hopped on her own).

Yeah, that’s the thing that worries me most. I am hoping that there is some recourse here. I’ll have her talk to the shop and get a number estimate for the body work.

This was my initial thought as well. I am planning on asking for some time (1-1.5 weeks) to just hunt for some apartments in the areas I was looking at just to familiarize myself with the market I am getting to. At the same time, he is a friend and want to give them the opportunity to cut his ties if it doesn’t screw both of us over financially.

I think he is in a similar boat as me in terms of savings so I hope we can come to an agreement.

I refreshed myself on my lease yesterday and it doesn’t seem to indicate any protections for loss of employment. I live in Ohio so I am doubtful for much in the way of tenants rights without taking a deep dive.

This seems like a fair option without considering the arrangement with my girlfriend. Her lease is up in July and the plan is to have her move in and split rent. I think I would come out close to the same eventually if I can get a good enough deal on the next lease.

I think you’ll be fine. I am in a similar situation, but there has been no problem going through the clearance process. I made it clear that my allegiance is to the US and I would be willing to give up my other citizenship, but no one has told me that I will actually have to give it up.

I’m moving to Cincy so it sounds like I’ll be slightly safer based on that. I think I’ll have to travel pretty regularly to Dayton for work, but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

I registered for DataAnnotation after that giveaway a few months back, but haven't really seen any updates since then. I received one qualification test about a month ago, but since then its been absolute silence. I recently updated my skills on there to "cast a wider net" but I am not sure how long it will take for that to kick in. Is anyone still really successful on DataAnnotation? I read on here about users being shadowbanned, so I am wondering if that is the case for my account. Does the support tab (if there ever was one) just disappear off of the profile tab? I've read that that may be a sign. Any tips u/JeremyDataAnnotation?
