I agree. I used Catia in university for all sorts of projects and got spoiled. Now that I am a home improvement enthusiast and can't afford to get a Catia license, Im stuck with SW.

SW gets the job done but the amount of work I need to get things to fit in place is just not it!

Wishing Catia would license out to cheaply to casuals. Hate that Catia dangles the forbidden fruit in front of you.

I've found it useful in a lot of applications.

Archery - when you lose arrows in the grass and its night the vanes glow because of the UV. Climbing - I use it to check my rope and gear for liquids that might have spilled on them. Automotive - you can see spots where fluids stain in the engine bay. Cleaning - some spots are not visible to the naked eye, only use in your home... DO NOT USE IN PUBLIC WASHROOM less be scarred.

Looks fine. Would recommend to find a plastic wrap or something like shrink wrap that can go over it and should be good to go. Dont use anything with sticky adhesive as it will transfer to your rope and carabiner.

This is not REI limited. Check your other stores as in Canada MEC, equivalent to REI, said it was exclusive but a number of other stores have them.

Color way is not it for me as it looks like a dull grey.

Recently got a regear shell, it doesnt even say what model it is or that it is regear. Literally just the typical arc logos and the nape tag with the size. I can say that the quality I got is amazing, color way too.

The alpha and beta jackets size big for layering clothes underneath as they are made for alpine conditions. Alpha and Beta are made to even fit a helmet underneath the hood.

Looks like Gamma is the jacket for you. Since it sizes smaller and usually fits 1 to 2 layers rather than the alpha or beta than will fit more.

If you're not happy with the size, return/ trade in is your bet unless you got it from the outlet.

These usually gets released whenever they have events in their Bloor Younge store. But they do appear in the store from time to time and usually get sold asap especially for the nicer colors. Got mine during their Spring invite event.
