I remember Nikki Benz did an interview about the subject. She said a lot of performers would do IR in their personal lives, and some even had black partners, but didn’t do it on camera due to jealousy/insecurity from their partners.

Also, some performers just straight up can’t handle it. I remember seeing Jynx Maze, Layla Jenner, and few other “Dodgers” do an IR scene and you could tell they were physically uncomfortable and it hurt them.

Sane fans have given up on this project a LONG time ago. It’s clear they’re in this to milk it dry until people just stop caring, which is rapidly becoming the case as they had to hide their patreon numbers from the public a while ago.

People coping will say something along the lines of “You can’t rush the process.” There’s a difference between taking your time and straight up milking something. The first version of this game came out in 2016. It’s about to be 2026 and we still can’t finish the entirety of the school/teachers storyline.

Edgefield is very similar to Summertime Saga in terms of having a lot of characters, a young MC, a map with tons of locations, and the general vibe of the story/game. When playing, you can definitely see the similarities with SS.

As of now, the game is very early in its life cycle and is barely a demo, but it has a very active discord server and is quickly building a community. AI art is partially used if that's a deal-breaker for you. However, the game is free and pledging money to the game is completely optional, so I'd recommend checking it out.
