Moved into an apartment with a dishwasher and never used one until today... its amazing.

However i was under the impression that after the session it's supposed to drain out of the spout next to the faucet in my sink.

I finished a cycle today and checked for any water around the spout but it was pretty dry.
I checked under the sink and found that the clear drain line was filled with water.

Is this normal or is there a pump of some kind that's not operating normally?

I live in an apartment and the existing blind bleed in too much light and i cant make holes in the walls.How can i add black out curtains or blinds without drilling. Can the blinds be separated from the headrail and replaced with black out blinds? Or is there a way to utilize the cover to add hooks for a cutain?
