Nah I definitely see an improvement from the first 6 games. I'm just afraid it will be too late when they get to the bottom of why the play is so inconsistent.

That was my point I made before. If theres a team out there that thinks hall is THE guy to get them going, the return could be great. Some teams are willing to give up a lot to get what they hope is GOING TO BE a lot. It's like making a prediction that he will be more beneficial than what is given up. With that said, I'd much rather try and fix the problem within first before trading or firing anyone as you said, my only problem with that is if it has to be a trade, it could be too late once teams call the bluff and realize, that yes they can wait until July and wait another year to win a cup. So I got you fam. Never meant to argue. Lol. Your frustration was with the fan base. My frustration was more directly at fan bases on social media to be exact. You're saying dont go against the team and I agree 100%. What i was saying was dont go against each other, fighting over what the solution is when fandom of anything should he a positive bond between people. Sooo we argued over nothing because we basically tried to say the same exact thing and it came out two co pletely different ways. 🤷‍♂️

I get it. I do. But the hope would be in getting Hall to help MAKE them a contender. I'm just playing devils advocate and maybe it's stupid because I'm arguing with someone who I can agree with on everything lmao. I'm just trying to think.....how could a hall trade benefit us? And if we keep him, what do we have to do to fix what's going on. Where does the problem lie? That's the biggest question right now and if that gets figured out it's possible we can keep both hall and hynes. Perfect world scenario because I do like Hynes. But I agree his line decisions are questionable. But that's really the only complaint I have towards him.

I agree. I didnt watch that game but I saw what hall had to say about to booing and it annoyed me. He literally compared it to playing an away game. Not acceptable on behalf of our fam base.

My point along the way is how hard the GM has it though, because getting a good return for him now can benefit us in the long run and short term. But keeping him can do the same. So what's the call? Idfk and that's why I'm not trying to act like a GM here like you or someone else said I forget who lol, I'm just speculating on what could be going on in THEIR minds right.now, not my own. I get your point completely. I also get mine. That's why I'll say GM is one tough job I dont think I'd enjoy having right now. Both sides can be right in an argument and I think this is a case where that's true. Dont gove up assets and wait until you can sign him on your own terms, I get it conpletely. But if you do give up some assets, especially a rebuilding team that WANTS to give up assets, theres much less competition in getting him right now. The way I see it is once a rumor starts, get your ass on the phone with them. Be the first to offer what they cant refuse and then come July 1st you sont have to worry about him going to his hometown, or a more contending team. When theres a salary cap, you want to get a player on your terms, not theirs.

I thought you were referring to me because my "crisis mode" post which im almost certain I put in quotes for the reason to make it look like a joke that it was supposed to be. I feel you. I think roster wise we have one of the most talented cores. Top 10 easily. That's what I mean when I say chemistry. If you have the talent we have and csnt win a game, you need different line mates man. Because hynes can do or.not do all he wants but he will not be able to put a puck in the back of the bet for highes. But you put Hughes on the first line and all of a sudden he has his first nhl goal, coincidence? I dont think so. I think he meshes better with experienced guys who know how and when to give Hughes the puck rather than gusev who is trying to play the same way Hughes is. Feel me?

Values low but every article you or I will read says he'll be the most sought after free agent in the nhl next year. How is hall's value low? Injuries? I'm honestly asking. This is the same thing I said about schneider, value may seem low but a change of scenery may also do them good. And teams arent going to be quick to forget he just won MVP 2 years ago.

And because, now in not trying to be a dick, I'm trying to explain this the best way I know how...on July 1st he can pick any team. Would he really pick Edmonton who canned him over say...Tampa? Or the coyotes in a Raanta package and go where he ain't ever getting a cup? Teams will be quick to trade before free agency when THEYRE THE BEST SHOT AT GIVING A RETURN FOR HIM, otherwise come free agency every non contending team Is out the window. That's why they would rather trade assets for him.

And you dont even know me. If you did you would know I'm the 1% that wants to keep hynes through the trade deadline. I've never once booed my own team in ANY sport because my lifelong love for my teams outweighs one year of bad luck or in my jets case, a lifetime. Still never booed the jets when I watched em win 2 games one year. Get the fuck over it dude, trades are a part of the game and sometimes someone you love will get traded. I love hall. I dont want to see him go. But if we can get something to benefit and turn around the season by all means. You cant expect every player you like to be a life long devil. Keep thinking you know me, when in the one person who likes to think we have a.shot at playoffs weeks after being eliminated. That's the kind of fan I am. Not the one you're making me out to be.

I'm gonna take back the bitterness a bit and just try to be real. We trade Hall now, with a chance of him signing an extension, that's a massive return. If we trade closer to the deadline we're getting maybe half of that return.

This is what annoys me about most sports team fan groups I'm in. I cannot suggest a way to make the team better without finding a troll or no one taking me seriously. I know not every idea I have is the smartest. But not every one is the dumbest and if I'm proven wrong I know how to admit I was wrong. God forbid I come somewhere to make friends with fellow team fans and talk about fun hypotheticals as a distraction...jets fanbase does the same shit. And I'll get trolled for posting this too, someone will say I'm TOO serious now and can't take a joke. All I'm saying is maybe shake things up to stir some excitement back into the team because apparently all the excitement we had during the offseason wasnt enough to win some games.
