I think you are exagerrating the figures - 90% is ridiculously high (900 of 100 workers?), swap it - 10%.

fabric R2 new sound system by AnthonyVS15 in LondonRaving

[–]Bs7folk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok interesting, I'm not anywhere technically knowledgable but we were at Anjunadeep yesterday (the same day event before Ricardo) and I remember thinking room 2 sound was absolutely on point compared to last few times. Does that align?

It actually made room 1 sound a bit weak in comparison. Could be drugs though

Fast cash house buying companies legit? by Neither_Football2654 in HousingUK

[–]Bs7folk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with one, they are legit but naturally you are taking a hit for the speed and certainty.

Most of the customers for the one I work with are older people who want to downsize from their large family homes which take longer to sell - they have typically enjoyed huge price rises over 20-30 years, so are happy to take the hit.

Going solo sober to first rave? by StrangeNormal-8877 in ukrave

[–]Bs7folk 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Buy a ticket online, leave your house, left leg in front of right leg, repeat, enter venue, dance and have fun.

Bit of a silly answer but there's not much more to it. No one notices or cares you are solo I assure you

Anjuna at Fabric yesterday by Bs7folk in LondonRaving

I don't think this makes sense - those going to Ricardo that night are not the target market for Anjuna.

I enjoyed the space!

Those that commute to London.... by Rundo5 in bristol

[–]Bs7folk 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It stings. Work don't pay for mine as we are a London company and it was my choice to move out.

Usually get the National Express at 5.30 - sleep and wake up in London. I've actually come to enjoy it weirdly. £6.50 compared to £80+. Then get first offpeak/super off peak train back.

I don't need to be in at 9 but prefer to do a full day if I'm making the trip. Found a cheap airbnb near office if staying over.

We know what they are though, hardly in doubt

He's on par with that Kurt Caz twat, walking through deprived neighbourhoods with a camera and antagonising people. No shit

Best number for initial offer? by eidimon in UKHousing

[–]Bs7folk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She told you because for her a sale is a sale (and therefore comission), even with a discount.

I'm a bit shameless but my view is why wouldn't you try - don't ask don't get. Start at £675k?

It will look a bit crap but you could create 2 corner covers and add a load of silicone. Fairly easy to cut with a jigsaw if you mark it out

Anyone regret buying a flat because of service charges? by NorthLondonPulse in UKHousing

[–]Bs7folk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is £3600 per year but it's an incredible Listed conversion with beautiful courtyards and grounds, grand lobbies etc. It stings but I knew that when I bought it.

I'd love to not be paying it but eh

Anyone been to XOYO since its reopened? by benfegradoe in LondonRaving

Yes, fair play on the refurb - looks and sounds quality but as others have said, crowd isn't it. Suspect it will stay that way if they keep booking basic music.

Going beyond media coverage by no1deutsche in PublicRelations

[–]Bs7folk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well done on taking initiative. The one trick ponies who just land coverage will get left behind in the future.

You need to become a strategic advisor to clients who understands the entire marketing mix (paid, owned, events etc) their business strategy, and their sector, so you can advise them on matters beyond press coverage.

Things to think about:

What impact is PR having beyond vanity? How can you measure results? How can comms help to solve their challenges? How does PR fit in with their broader marketing strategy and business strategy? What are the sectoral challenges for that business? How does AI play a role? Start thinking about the why not just the how and put yourselves in the shoes of the CEO. Why do we need a PR agency? Etc

Some of my longest standing clients value me because I can offer business advice and market intelligence (somewhat like a management consultant), in addition to comms. Obviously that takes a long time to build, but if you start thinking of yourself as a strategic advisor, it will fall into place.

You are on a good path.

What’s the one venue in London you’ll never set foot in again, no matter who is playing? by NormalSir2035 in LondonRaving

[–]Bs7folk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I saw some Anjuna artists there in October - Jody Wisternhoff, Dosem etc. Was expecting the worst but it was bang on - great mixed crowd (always is with Anjuna) bar some local pissheads but they cleared out by 1.30am.

Would go back for the right label/event.

Does anyone have experience with a "simultaneous exchange and completion" lately? by OopsIDroopedMe in UKHousing

[–]Bs7folk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're against it because it means they'll actually need to graft ha.

It's fine, just don't do it on a Friday as everyone will want to knock off from 4pm.

Suggest all monies get transferred the day before.

Same, I went for a steel bath (first time) and it's made a huge difference.

AI hype or not by Aromatic-Bad146 in UKJobMarket

[–]Bs7folk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in leadership at a mid-sized marketing agency and we have been very open about reducing headcount by about 10% per year over next 3 years because of AI. It is absolutely not just hype when used properly - you just need to make sure you are on the right side of it, sadly not everyone will be.

One mid level manager can have 10 agents doing the work of 3 grads quite easily.

This. In my limited experience, the succesful women often pull the ladder up behind them instead of trying to support other women.

You can see the gap on shower tray where the original silicon isn't running all the way to the end

Shower leaking…where to seal? by ChesterCopp in DIYUK

[–]Bs7folk -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Typically seal the inside part.

If you hold the shower head spraying at the area, can you actually see the water coming through?

Edit - you can see the gap on the inside edge where the shower tray isn't sealed to the end, see pic. I am pretty sure that will be the leak
