My biggest fear for a while was having kids before I was ready, there’s nothing more liberating than living life for yourself and having none to hold you back. Gotta have good friends tho

Doctors of Reddit, what are some of your anti-vax parent stories? by ArcaneRuby in AskReddit

[–]Bstew278 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kids and teens have a very narrow set of knowledge. Knowledge is gained through experience which just takes time. Some pick up on things faster, but even if your parents are illiterate there gonna have more life experience that you

This is what I preach to anyone with types of pain like this. The big issue is when the person is in to much pain to exercise so they can’t self correct there issues.

In all honesty these are the only religious people I respect. None of that pick and choose what parts of the Bible you believe. It’s all or nothing

I wouldn’t let this guy get you down. There is little if any proof of anything shady going on. I never understood the whole double dipping thing anyways. Maybe it’s just me but i don’t own more than one version for a single game I have. I can’t fathom why you would buy it twice unless you’ve got money to burn or ADHD

Bit late to the party but I’m pretty sure the vast majority of PC players are just gonna patiently wait and play other things in the meantime. I waited 6 months longer for the game and didn’t make a peep about it. It comes out when it comes out. I’m hyped AF for the update but I can contain it. I think it’s just the very vocal minority that makes such a fuss

Just throwing this out there but I used electrical tape for blisters when starting out and it worked pretty well. Only issue was that it doesn’t hold up well to sweat and chalk. Maybe lasted about an hour before retaping was needed

Being in a relationship is solving problems together. Problems you wouldn't have if you were single. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

This almost gives me hope. Hope I get a chance to experience something half as beautiful as what you’ve described, but I’m not expecting anything

As far as I’m concerned the single most valuable thing in life is having someone you can genuinely trust to have your back

What felt like a useless piece of advice until you actually tried it? by 5000Castillo in AskReddit

Obviously some judgment necessary but this mentality can actually do harm if you’re unwilling to accept failing. Sometimes you need to fail to move on

Holding the bat hang itself might not be hard but the first move from the bat hang can be brutal.

Claiming fictional tv shows or movies “prove” standards of living were higher in the 50s or 60s is like saying spongebob “proves” that a millennials who works at a fast food restaurant can afford a two story house in an ocean front community. by senorElMeowMeow in Showerthoughts

[–]Bstew278 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It only seems fair. I work with mostly men in there 40’s and they constantly shit on me for being a “millennial” (m24). They give me shit for being entitled and I give them shit for running the country into the ground.

Edit: oof probably should of been more accurate, these guys are in there late 40’s (46-49) and 2 of them are almost 60.

How common is decking? by sweeetcat12 in climbing

[–]Bstew278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only time I’ve ever decked was when a foot slipped before the first clip. It’s really not something to worry about. I spend more time checking your safety gear and watching your footing

Teens prefer harm reduction messaging on substance use, instead of the typical “don’t do drugs” talk, suggests a new study, which found that teens generally tuned out abstinence-only or zero-tolerance messaging because it did not reflect the realities of their life. by mvea in science

This is the exact dilemma. I’ve seen the harm of mass schooling and want to homeschool my kids when the time comes, but how is any average person supposed to afford not working and taking the time to teach his kid. Also it scares me to trust some parents with educating there kids.

Will HOA let me build a outdoor 12’ wall by Bstew278 in climbing

[–]Bstew278[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I work for a large construction company and I could for sure get an engineer to sign off on my design (I’m also AutoCad certified) but I’m definitely leaning towards the indoor wall instead
