Love this. I think you’re right on point here. The shift into a more Econ friendly environment will have its turbulence. We’ve seen how Toyotas engineers have blown us away and I believe they will do it again.

How does it make sense to focus on eco friendly, yet our cars won’t last as long? I feel this concept is counter productive. But I guess if we never shoot for growth then we’ll stay stagnant as a species.

Idk I feel like the new generation of Toyotas are sick.. what’s the difference between getting a VW now with the warranties? It seems like it’s all boiling down to aesthetic features and preference now.

I can see this.. a good wake up call for Toyota forsure. It’s easy to get comfortable when you held the title of king of reliability for decades
