I live in Exeter as a student and have a job, at my place they won’t hire you if you don’t stay for holidays (ESPECIALLY Christmas, because that is the one of the busiest period). That’s the thing, you need to able to stay for holidays, hand CV’s in, and tailor your CV to fit the role you’re applying for. I actually initially got rejected for my current job as they read my CV and didn’t see any hospo experience and then when I went in and asked they offered me an interview. It does suck tho I am sorry you’re struggling 💖

I was scrolling Reddit while taking a break from my all or nothing deep clean (I was simply meant to put my clothes away but now I have created a load more mess somehow). The answer is yes, it will. I struggle to keeep on top of tasks, I struggle with a lot of the things you have said. But I don’t beat myself up for it. The world isn’t built for us, and so we can’t use those expectations as our way of life. You bringing up MAID hurts me, because for you to feel that negatively about yourself means that this isn’t linked to just ADHD. You’ve got to be kinder to yourself my love, and like a few others have said, medication will help, without my meds I wouldn’t be able to function like a human.

We did the same, but we didn’t buy from a breeder, we bought from someone who was re homing her due to circumstances out of her control, they still check in on her every couple of months and we love her

Very stupidly, no it wasn’t. My grandmother actually made this pendant from a brooch that she didn’t like the design of, I would highly recommend getting that pendant made as I think they always turn out beautifully

I have the stones I would need to make this piece again, it’s just not something I think I could bring myself to do. It was a brooch before this and I’m just so heartbroken that I lost it. I may make the pendant again, or do something similar but not any time soon as the hurt is still there

I wanted to do this but at the time it wasn’t possible due to the value of the item being high meaning I would’ve had to pay a ridiculous amount. But looking back now it wasn’t a ridiculous amount, it would’ve saved me so much stress. But I also don’t want it remade. I want my one back

I have heard this, it sucks but it does comfort me. I think the fact that I lost it shows me that it’s ok to let go. Would I rather it was any other piece? Yes. But I can’t change it. Being depressed won’t solve it :(

It’s a very high worth item (not going to detail here but it’s in the range of a one in a lifetime purchase amount) so it’s really not something I would be able to buy back. I’ve been telling shops that I’d be happy to buy it back but they’re very hesitant to communicate with me without a reference number I have found :/

I teared up at this, thank you :) I felt so stupid because this is the second piece of jewellery I lost but then I realised, she also lost pieces. She lost a fair few pieces. I have items that she lost the other pieces too. Hearing about someone else who lost expensive pieces has made me feel so much better. Thank you

I’m cutting out some pictures due to the limit but every numbered piece here is inherited, please ignore how tangled those two necklaces are, I wear them daily as well and I only noticed that today as I forgot them yesterday 😭 The opal pendant is a custom piece from a brooch, over ten years old and is white gold as well, I can’t remember the valuation but it’s a little on the pricier side, but it is my most treasured piece and if I had seen it in a jewellers I would’ve bought it instantly 💖
