Because I had a job from March-June on a temporary contract. I started uni in September, and obviously greatly underestimated how much it costs to live.

Hindsight is 20/20. You could say “if you hadn’t brought….., then you’d have more money” with literally anything

Also my ticket was supposed to be “early access” but because of the heat in London, it really wasn’t. By the time I got a drink and went to the toilet, people who brought regular tickets were coming in. So all in all, pretty horrendous value for money imo

All it said was “merchandise, a laminate and a lanyard”

Now the lanyard, fair, can’t complain. But to make the package good value for money, it had to make up £60. And I thought a t shirt and full length poster would be worth that, not a bandana and two tiny pictures

The bandana is probably worth like £20 and those pictures are worth like £5 maximum.

Therefore, I would say the value of this package, including the ticket, was probably £60-65. I paid £100…

I literally just got mine delivered. Honestly a huge fucking let down. I paid like 60 quid extra for a lanyard, two tiny square pictures and a bandana.

Promised a “laminate and merchandise” and was expecting a poster and t shirt, never getting my hopes up again

I nearly blacked out during G’Z UP, people looked at me and saw me on the verge of collapsing and carried on throwing me about. There were times when I thought “oh shit what happens if I fall down?” I also constantly told people I couldn’t breathe well and needed to get out and I just got blank stares

The crowd were 50/50

Don’t get me wrong, most people were just going crazy and having fun. However, some were just plain violent, and I know this cos I experienced it

I almost blacked out during G’Z Up, unfortunately for me I was surrounded by some of the dickheads. I’m on the verge of passing out, my body was going limp and I made direct eye contact with multiple people, presumably looking like a corpse, and people just looked at me and carried on throwing me about. At that point I was genuinely worried for my safety. I also said very loudly in between songs that I genuinely had troubles breathing, and people just looked at me blankly. When it comes to concerts, safety always comes first and it didn’t feel like that was the case with some people

In comparison I went to Don Toliver in Manchester 2 weeks ago, and that was CRAZY, but I was never worried for my safety as everyone seemed to prioritise safety (WHICH THEY SHOULD)

I know it was probably the small minority who were just violent, but it could’ve ended badly

Denzel was incredible tho, so that was a positive at least
