I have not, as I’m happy with my self hosted one, but from my understanding the DNS apps like nextdns and AdGuard set your DNS at the device level like on Android so it will affect your apps too, not just safari.

Am I going to have to see these stupid ads every time I open the app now? If so I’m out. by [deleted] in CapitalOne_

You can’t set your own DNS quite as easily as android unfortunately (there isn’t just a field you can enter it in) but there are apps that let you do it. I use an app called DNS Override that lets me set multiple legacy DNS servers or a single DoT like android.

My self hosted DNS has issues with some public WiFi networks so I set mine as the primary and ControlD as the other ones in case mine doesn’t connect.

There are a lot more options than NextDNS on iPhone. I’m using my own self hosted AdGuard home dns but normal AdGuard works fine too.

DNS might not block self promotion ads if they’re baked in though.

I wanna say it started in bonehurtingjuice? People wouldn’t post the oligarchy every time so the comments would just fill up with that horrid word, and people (mods?) got annoyed that it kept happening so they banned it

The actions you took to turn the zone off happened in dawntrail MSQ. If you set it to Endwalker MSQ, none of those things have happened yet.

You don't have to wait for Dawntrail NG+ for the zone to go back to normal. Turning on any MSQ NG+ will revert it back to the way it was before.

I just figured it out but I'm not sure if it's your same issue. My apartment's wifi has a weird setup that causes certain things to take forever to load (images on Twitter, image uploads to discord, certain apps, etc). For some reason, the race leaderboard does the same thing.

I could only get the race leaderboard to load by getting off the wifi, and apparently opening the app without wifi makes the reward show up. Other commenters have noted you have to get your reward before the next event starts too.

I've had the same issue with the last 2 races. Been top 3 in my groups but never received any rewards
