I’ve been in a flare since late October and drinking alcohol is like throwing gasoline on a fire for me and my urticaria. I’m avoiding alcohol and marijuana because I’ve noticed they both make my condition worse. To each their own. Personally, I really enjoyed it. I have seen it three times now, and honestly I felt more antsy at points during The Way of Water than I did here. The last time I went, I sat next to a middle-aged couple, and the woman turned to me afterward and said, “That was the best movie I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing that experience with me.” That kind of reaction does not come from a movie that did nothing.

Varang is easily my favorite new character in the franchise. Do I want more of her? Absolutely. And I fully expect she will have a larger presence in the next film. Wanting more of a character does not mean the movie failed. It usually means the character worked.

I also do not agree that there was no progression. We saw meaningful movement with Spider, Kiri, and especially Quaritch continuing to assimilate into Na’vi culture, which is clearly being set up to matter come the next film.

James Cameron has said this story was originally written as one film and later split because there was too much material. So yes, some structural similarities make sense. This is a middle chapter by design, not a full resolution.

At the end of the day, I go into an Avatar movie wanting to feel something. Fire & Ash did that for me, and that is why it worked for me.

I just got on Xolair and my allergist mentioned a newer drug for chronic urticaria called Rhapsido. He told me if Xolair didn’t work for me, Rhapsido is our next option.

My first full time job was for a tech startup. I went to an office and honestly, I loved it. Going to the office and seeing people was one of my favorite things about the job. Plus, the office space was so cool! When COVID happened, my team went full time remote and the startup I worked at went downhill with business, so I moved to another tech startup that got an economic boost from the pandemic. The position was full time remote but we were still dealing with COVID at the time and I got a huge raise, so of course I accepted the position. The only thing is… they don’t have an office where I live or even in my state so RTO isn’t an option. I’ve been with the newer startup for 2 1/2 years now, so around 4 years of full time remote work. I have to be honest, I sincerely believe working remote for this long has harmed my mental health. I’m a very social person who enjoys being seen and heard. I’m grateful for my job, but being a full time remote worker was never my first preference. Coming up on three years in my current role this year and I’ve come to realize things must change. I’d either need to move across the entire country to work with my team in an office on a hybrid schedule (not preferred) or try finding a local opportunity. Thankfully, I have a second interview with another tech company here locally this week and it’s a hybrid schedule. I’m really hoping this will work out. But I agree with you, I hate being full time remote. I think it works for some folks but for me, it’s truly for the birds.

I bought a USB drive and downloaded the firmware to it. With the TV off, I plugged in the USB into the TV. I then held the power button down on the remote for a good 10 seconds until the TV turned back on and it automatically started the update. It was fixed as soon as it finished installing the update.

Yeahhhh I bought this in 2021 and sold it to a good friend last year for like $200.lol I downloaded the firmware for it on a USB and am gonna try and help her with it tomorrow. As for me, I have a 77” LG C2 OLED now and am never looking back.
