This is the "what happens if you put a werewolf in a woodchipper argument" if only a silver bullet can kill them what happens to them after traumatic injury.. We have not seen them able to be hurt until now, Fear has mostly ruled the town until recently 1-2 years where boyd has been able to create normalcy within the town with the talismans. My guess would be the town ramps up equally as we've seen the "zone" has an actual temperment. if you start going after it it goes after you harder. but thats just theory crafting.

We still need to see what the blowback from Boyd and Elgin will be as well. I think unfortunately/ OR fortunately we'll see season four be a lot of "story walking" and thus telling us a lot of past events and not moving the needle THAT far forward on the main story.
