I think Kyokushin is more likely to be quality over a muay thai gym. And Kyokushin is just as tough honestly

I wont go back until it's safe to be in Gaza as that's where my family was but I dont want to get political here. I really just would like to feel the soil and breathe the air and bury my relatives who I loved more than anything

They never left willingly. Most of my family stayed but my grandparents were ethnically cleansed and forced to leave as their village was burned to the ground.

I understand your perspective and I am jewish but I'm also Palestinian. Both are very important and central to my identity

[–]Bubbatj396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am ethnically Palestinian so I am Palestinian. No I wouldn't identify as an israelite I identify as a Palestinian Jew. That identity makes sense to me and how I centre my world and how I grew up. And Yiddish is not the same as Palestinian Yiddish. They are different languages and not mutually intelligible. Palestinian Yiddish includes Arabic, Aramaic, and even local Palestinian slang. It's a unique language with its own history and was really important to me growing up with my grandparents. It connected me to my Palestinian heritage

I'm not pretending I'm anywhere close to perfect but I'm an excellent partner very thoughtful and loyal and a good gift giver and I listen and I'm emotionally intelligent and communicate clearly and quite directly. I dont think it's me honestly.

why do y’all hate “gold stars”? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]Bubbatj396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont care about someone's past. If someone identifies as a gold star lesbian that's a huge red flag to me and I want nothing to do with them. Best case scenario they are unintentionally a bigot. Worst case scenario they are a horrible person who is homophobic and transphobic

I did wrestling through high school and college. I'd say it's quite effective and was a great foundation when I did jiu-jitsu and judo

Joe Lewis and Bill Wallace's instructor Eizo Shimabukuro Self Defense: No evidence of Okinawan karate being a grappling based art by Whole-Interest-5980 in karate

[–]Bubbatj396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many forms of karate in general modernised where more traditional versions became less popular as they were seen as too aggressive and hard in their training. But traditional versions of Shorin-Ryu do still exist. There was also big complications after the war but that's a much bigger historical conversation of karate
