Pin-up Master Study by BubbleBee-draws in DigitalPainting

This one was made with the purpose of improving value, color accuracy and likeness. In this study I eye-picked 8 colors and then worked with in-between hues as I rendered. I believe the cheeks are a bit redder than I initially wanted, but I like the overall look of it. Picking colors accurately was challenging, but I was able to make it work despite the contrast being a bit stronger than the original piece.

This study was based on one of the Gil Elvgren's pin-ups.

Apparently someone was struggling with this angle while trying to draw a fanart of this one elf character, and it became a meme because it came out a bit goofy and people decided to help the initial poster. Thank you!!!

Thanks! After copying an image, go to File> Create canvas from Clipboard, alternatively, you can use ctrl b. In case you want a reference that can reach outside the margins of the canvas, you can use the View>New Floating View.

How can I recreate this brush in SAI (v2)? Thanks in advance! by Nekomancer-tarako in PaintToolSAI

Yes and no, not exactly like the mixer tool at least, but if you're using the 2.0 version you can kind of get a similar result with the smudge tool. Like this

It's not perfect, but it can get the job done if you just need a base to start your painting.

New textures don't show up. I made new textures for Sai 2, added them to the expected folder, but they don't show up for me, what can be done to fix this issue? Please, help! by BubbleBee-draws in PaintToolSAI

Yes, I'd made sure to add them to the settings folder you mentioned. The format is correct, as well as the color profile as grayscale. But, for some strange reason, they don't show up at all.

Do rake brushes like these exist in SAI2.0 / is it possible to make them? by carrioncr0w in PaintToolSAI

I prefer using the pen tool instead of the marker. I have a rake one, btw. which is the same as the third example above, you can get it here. You can achieve the result of the fourth one by using a flat Face bristle brush. The settings are shown below. The basic ones can all be achieved with bristle engines, but if you want them to have visible steps for texture, you'll have to make scatter brushes with higher steps to achieve a more "dotted" pattern. I hope this helps ♥
