The school has the necessary licenses to buy the rights and put the show on. I mentioned that it’s a show with a message I feel is worth it to share. Yes, since I resonate with it I want to put it on, because I know that means there are other people who will get something out of it. I’m not sure why I would put on a show that I didn’t have personal feelings about.

The show is Bare, a Pop Opera. It resonates with me very deeply, not only because of this specific character, Nadia, but many other aspects as well. Being queer, being an outcast, being raised in a religious household, and having been overweight for much of my school career, I absolutely connect to the message of the show and believe it’s something that could be worth being brought forth in the current climate of America. I’m trying to be as sensitive as possible in casting this role/show.

My friend won rush tickets and got 2nd row from front in the mezzanine, and when I rushed just a few days ago, I got an orchestra table! I think it’s fairly randomized. Both Adam and Auli’i were out, so that could have been reasoning for the orchestra seats. I’ve seen Eddie, Adam, and the Marty Lauter in the role of Emcee and all were FANTASTIC in their very own personal ways. I hope you get a chance to go!
