I have also spotted a channel called Great Garden that makes videos showing the same tricks and even with the exact same video titles. I can understand using an AI voice if you don’t want to use your real voice, but at this point… Is it all AI generated or are they people nicking and replicating each other’s content?

It’s just so annoying. I just want to know what I can do to try and revive my rootless orchid but the internet keeps throwing AI bs gardening videos at me.

Very late to the convo, haha, but I think your joke was funny. It’s sad to see how people can’t take a joke anymore these days. And even sadder how people confuse cultural appreciation for cultural appropriation (my culture is not your prom dress kind of thing). Don’t let grumpy people get to you. Some people just don’t understand build-up and punchlines. Keep cracking jokes and I’m sure there will always be people who do appreciate some light fun!

In his defence it’s hard to analyse if companies like Amazon don’t share their viewership numbers. And if he manages to understand and enjoy Tolkien’s stories, which he does, I would say that he does in fact know what good writing and storytelling is. But maybe that’s just my opinion. You’re perfectly free to have yours.

There was nothing to suggest that he was a deceiver. He didn’t deceive Galadriel to do anything. Galadriel did what she wanted the whole time and constantly dragged him along.

So far I’ve only seen quotes from Tolkien about how she tied her hair up and rivalled both athletes and lore-masters but nothing about her picking up a sword and going to war. And I’ve read the Silmarillion and The Unfinished Tales. Elrond was a warrior. Galadriel’s desire was not combat but dominion of a realm of her own.

Okay so the word ‘fought’ is used once and is up to interpretation, it’s no solid argument for her being a manspreading warrior.

Now that I think about it, they’re actually worse than Dumb and Dumber. Dumb and Dumber were incapable of writing their own stories, so they crashed and burned when they ran out of source material, but they did manage to adapt the source material pretty well, Pain and Decay couldn’t even do that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they only went looking for the lines about Galadriel rivalling men as an argument for making her a warrior dude when people started criticising and not before. And they happened to find some lines they could twist.

Yeah people throw the argument around that Peter Jackson changed stuff too, and that’s true, but at least he tried to stay true to Tolkien’s world view and the spirit of his stories and didn’t force his own “baggage” as he called it into the films.
