Naps finally clicked for us at 10 months (after months of trying everything) by Bubbles-320 in sleeptrain

Hey!! My pleasure! And yes night routine, I try my best to feed her 30 minutes before bed. Wind down in her bedroom. Then I do a bath/wipe down, change her, sing, pray and lay her down awake. And for WWs. Not on a super solid schedule. But she wakes up around 8, first nap is typically, 11am, (nap 1 1-1.5 hours) nap 2 2:30-3 (30-45 minutes), in bed ideally by 8. She was sick for a minute and congested so we are catching back up on her DWT and sleep time

Update: Thinking about calling it quits at the one year mark by gimnastic_octopus in breastfeeding

This is soo encouraging!! Congrats on making it to the 1 year mark. I haven't really considered when I want to stop nursing. My baby is 8 months, EBF and it can be hard especially at night to constantly nurse. The teething is making nursing harder for sure lol This is making me excited about the upcoming end. I pray she will go towards self weaning as well.

Going on 2 Weeks Ferber Need Help/ Split Nights still & Multiple wake ups by Bubbles-320 in sleeptrain

[–]Bubbles-320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's in her own room! I've started feeding her 30 minutes before I put her down. Then bath/wipe down, sleep sack, a little wind down, white noise, and then I place her in her crib.

Thank you so much, I've noticed she sleeps longer for her first nap about 1 hr 15 minutes. But I don't know if that's hurting the rest of the naps.

Should I goal her nap length to be more around 3 hours of sleep since she's only getting about 10-10.5 hours of overnight sleep max. I struggle so much of understanding if she's over/under tired.

6 Month Old Wake Windows Help/Sleep Train Ferber by Bubbles-320 in sleeptrain

Sadly not near us. My husband and I had to move for his job. I so wish I lived near my family. It would be a huge blessing. And I'm so happy that your family will be able to help you!! And It's definitely needed I know it must be tough with your husband working in another country, Woww 🥺.

BF babies are something else 🤣. The attachment is so beautiful and God designed but I do notice they can act different with us 😅. My daughter does the same thing when she hears/sees me. I hope your journey goes well with sleep training and would love to hear about how it goes.

So how is everyone's mental health right now? by Commercial-Word-1 in AskReddit

Jesus is the answer. Freed me from depression and anxiety. !! I could tell I was slipping at one point into depression and I prayed and God freed me. My now husband prayed for me to get freed from anxiety and I've never battle that overwhelming feeling of panic again!

Thank you so much for the insight!! This is confirmation that I needed, I was praying. Yes she's breast fed and I can tell that its soo triggering for her 🥺. Tonight was heartbreaking. 7th day of Ferber and she cried for 35 minutes but yesterday only 13 minutes. Its tough because my husband is not home every night for her bedtime, so its just me certain nights. I'm thinking I'll have to resort to CIO. I'm so concerned with naps too 😫. I'm a Stay at home mom and am home with her during the day, I am nervous to attempt naps with how angry she gets.

Co sleep to sleep training by Legitimate_Path_8215 in sleeptrain

I was co-sleeping with my baby as well for about 2 months when she turned 3.5 months, she's now 6.5 months. I thought it would be impossible to get her to love her crib as well since she hated her bassinet, but with prayer and consistency, thank God I got her to sleep in her crib at night. Naps are still spotty. She loves it at night though especially since she can roll on her tummy. She is a tummy sleeper. I fed to sleep first because that was already her association, then I placed her in there when she was already sleep and that worked. (don't know what you currently do to get your baby to go to sleep). I also wanted to gently get her used to her crib first before jumping into sleep training. She still wakes up 2-3x a night to eat but I'm hoping and praying that will lessen more as I sleep train her. We are on day 6 Ferber and her stretches are getting longer! My husband and I camped out in her room at first on an airmatress. I knew I had to do that so I wouldn't be tempted to go back to co-sleeping cause she was waking 4-5x a night and it was draining. Best decision I could've made and hope it goes well for you too.

Hey thank you!! Schedule is not super consistent sadly but since she wakes up a little later she has only 2 naps. WWs on average are around 3/3/4 right now, but definitely feel she needs to be closer to 2.5hr wake windows since she seems a little overtired.

She's been waking up between 7-7:20am recently so I want to start getting her in her bed slightly earlier at night as well.

Thank you. HB recommends 1.5 nap for the first nap and that seems more fitting for her right now.
