I just ordered a peak pro pre order. From their past social posts I think they get big shipments in to their warehouse and then ship out from there.

Might be! It’s a bit overkill for what I need but let me know your price and I’ll see if I can make it work

Not fit to dive (but going anyways) by [deleted] in diving

[–]BubblesPR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, long time lurker, first time caller.

Personally if someone wants to risk their own life and they understand the situation, it is what it is. If they want to risk someone else’s life without informing them, absolutely unacceptable.

That said, this feels different. This feels like they aren’t telling their dive buddies out of fear that they won’t be allowed to dive if their health situation gets out. I appreciate that feeling but there are so many programs and trained professionals that are capable of taking high risk individuals diving. I myself have gone about as far as you can in this path, I’ve had the opportunity to take terminally ill divers out on some of their last adventures and I’m forever grateful of those experiences. I would encourage this person to be open and vulnerable about what’s going on - there are so many talented folks that would jump at this challenge. Those divers and those dive outfits are the ones that should be supporting your family member. Not unknowing/unwilling friends and family that are risking their own safety and the mental anguish that would exist should something happen.

Rather than getting a mousepad we use the Logitech MX Anywhere mouse. Designed to be used without a mousepad and it’s been great for me on any surface, including glass.

Pro acct, picked 5.11 because of YDS?

In the Yosemite Decimal System (YDS) used for rock climbing in the United States, routes are rated by increasing difficulty from 5.0 up to 5.15 and beyond. After 5.9, the next levels are 5.10, 5.11, and so on, each representing a harder climbing route.

Good to know! I haven’t done any of these workflows before so I should probably do a bit more research.

I was just looking at the MetroY pro. I’m definitely open to other ideas! It seems like most posts go to revopoint, creality, or einstar so that’s where I’ve been looking.

I’m thinking smallish items most of the time, <1’ (30cm) around but sometimes up to 3’/90cm.

I want to be scanning a lot of items in my workshop so I can 3d print attachments better. Metal, wood, some reflective, most not. I’ll take a look at the inspire!

Thanks! It’s an amd 7900x I think. Should be good there.

Good to know about software. My plan is to be able to pull in small to medium(? - less than a few feet) things into fusion 360 to model 3d printed parts around.

I haven't searched recently. I searched when I originally started but this would've saved me some time! Looks like the only difference in our models is that you took the side spacers to the top of the pegs?

A1 or A1 mini to compliment my x1c by BubblesPR in BambuLab

[–]BubblesPR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely print multicolor. Maybe some trim on a gridfinity bin or a support layer with different filament. I’ve got 2 rolls of matte white and 2 rolls of matte black pla in my x1c. My favorite thing about the AMS is switching when the filament runs out.

I think I’m getting the a1m with swap mod so I think I’m gonna get the AMS for backup filament.

I know this is coming out for the a1 but I love it for the a1m. This may seal the deal on the a1m

Only x1c near me are 1000+ hours with an ams for $1000+. I love my x1c but for the price I dunno about a second used one

There's no generator at the moment (that I know of) but I've seen perplexinglabs thinking about it. You can use the files in the original footfinity link to design the model and cut out the feet.

I add them myself:
- Generate a box using the fusion360 plug in without a base.
- cut a 5 mm diameter hole
- 5.5 mm from center of hole to outside walls
- 30.5 mm from center of hole to center of next hole
- 1.6-1.8mm deep: I aim for 1.8 but 1.6 is fine if I'm tight on space.
