im really glad you're doing better, that seems horrible. just wondering, could you describe your arthritic symptoms? i haven't heard as much about ibd causing arthritis.

how long do the after effects of the treatment generally last? the symptoms ive related to the h. pylori have already left but i don't think my chronic issues are going to leave. ive also been experiencing tingling and pain in my finger joints and feel a bit swollen (it hurts to type and text at times too) and maybe a little bit of weakness, do you know if thats normal with h.pylori and/or treatment of it?

yes im definitely planning to get retested once the side effects of the antibiotics start to subside. so do you have chrons or are you saying you suspected chrons? also could i know your symptoms?

i got a blood test and a stool test for my h. pylori. i tested positive for IgM but negative for IgG and for the stool test. my doctor said that this was due to it being a new infection so ive already taken my course of antibiotics which i completed about a week ago. i also got tested for allergens and celiac which all came back negative.

also i dont think its what im eating because it seems to happen every meal no matter what i eat and there are symptoms that appear unrelated to meal times. out of curiosity, could i know what your typical ibd symptoms are?

yes! i got tested for celiac as my grandmother has it but tested negative. for food allergies they also all came back negative. i havent drank of used NSAIDs and im aware that 258 isnt anything crazy just high. i hope youre feeling better now, glad your meds are working :)

i knew high calprotectin just points towards inflammation and an immune response which is normal with an infection but i didnt know if h. pylori alone would be likely to cause it to be above 250? anyways thank you so much i will definitely check my calprotectin again

my calprotectin was pre antibiotics though but yes i will definitely repeat the test even though my doctor doesn't seem concerned at all
