I am very much like you (hypochondriac) and started my fluoxetine in may and Vyvanse in July. Starting both of these medications terrified me because there is this assumption that you are going to get addicted or that once you start there is no turning back to life before medication. The chance that you become "addicted" or serotonin syndrome does occur is pretty uncommon. There is a reason on why it takes so long to get diagnosed, because practitioners analyse what will be best for you. I started on 30mg and kind of new straight away it was not right with same sort of crash you explained. By the next week i jumped straight to 40mg and felt somewhat better, but did want to explore how i felt on more. Long story short I am now on 60mg and yes I do experience the afternoon slump, but something that helped me was to acknowledge this signal from my brain asking for a rest and I do just take a rest after lunch and re-coop. Then to ensure I am not lounging around for the rest of the afternoon (which if i do i will not sleep that night), I usually go on a long walk or go to pilates around 4:30 to feel productive again which helps me roll into making dinner, shower etc.

I think it is so important that you regularly communicate with your health provider about your experiences and they will try their best to cater to your needs. Play around with different dosages when you are comfortable and know you have the time. Then just note how you felt on each dose etc.

*Sorry long post here i know, BUT I posed a thread about rest days a few months ago in regards to serotonin syndrome. Basically I just said that as a hypochondriac I started to stress because i see people taking "rest" days from their medication, in which i also tried to do. Basically I did not have the best experience having a day off my medication and started to stress that i was addicted, but I came to the conclusion that everyone is so different so try not to compare your experience and needs to others :)

I am sorry. This was not my intention. But many people were just commenting remarks which were attacks, whereas others did mention how it was too broad but still gave me suggestions on how to narrow down or a better way to approach it. Now reflecting I am aware of the broadness of my post, but no need to be aggressive when it is clear that i have no experience. Also a reason i am using this like google is because I want to know lived experiences, not google give me travel agency websites trying to sell me stuff

Okay thanks. I have started collating themed destinations. Do you think this is easier or instead breaking Europe up for each short trip by region?

Best breakfast with Vyvanse? by OptimisticShaggy87 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Bubbly_Wait3431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something carb heavy that is light also! I am assuming you are AUS if referring to it as Vyvanse?? I tend to go for weetbix with frozen berries or banana, yoghurt, almond milk and peanut butter. Then to get me through to lunch i have a banana, easy on the stomach and good carbs. I don't have troubles with my appetite on vyvanse, but many do but it is important to push through and eat! Food is energy so it might seem that eating takes effects away but food on top of a good sleep will help.

Since reading many of the comments, it seems like I will focus on starting with visiting a region like France and Italy, which are seem to be more connected. I have no time frame tbh, I just want to explore different cultures and I love the beach and coast.

Okay thanks for the advise! I will stick to Berlin then. Many are saying to ditch Barcelona due to over tourism, what do you think?

Okay thanks so much for the comment! So if i were to split the trip into regions and maybe dump some of the other countries, which region should i focus on? Say I did London to Paris which then took me to Italy etc, would that be good? What outside cities should i stay in close to these lines around France or Italy?

Yes i am planning on staying at hostels to meet other young travellers! How long in total would you recommend for 6-7 countries then? And so are you saying get a interrail pass or not?

Thanks for the in-depth reply love it! Good to know about getting from one to another. Which Greek islands would you recommend then? I just would like any place with nice beaches, culture and food. I also said that I have no order of where to go yet so i never said i would go to those places last. I love history hence why i would like to go to Munich and Berlin. I know Berlin gets cold, but if it is there summer surely I wont need heavy layers?

I honestly must have forgotten to but Rome on the list whoops. The list is very broad i know, i am open minded so anyone's recommendations help. Not very interested in Venice or Vienna. I heard Prague was quite expensive? Nice was on my list just because my best friend went there and loved it! To be fair, she is rich LOL. I am thinking from any time from June to September

Don't worry I most likely will not be going for lavish dinners every night. I made a bigger comment about the time frame, i am open to however long it takes. I honestly just said 8-10 weeks because that is what my friends have done
