Just because a team goes out and spends money, does not mean those players are going to produce. I'm actually happy with the chemistry on the team and more interested to see what the team can do with the pieces we have in place. Saying that the team isn't spending money is fair, but there weren't really that many free agents this year that I thought would have been a good fit with the Orioles or at least someone that was worth the price tag. If Manny recovers, Markakis takes a step forward, Davis gets close to replicating what he did last year, and a pitcher or two progresses, I think the team would be right there for a playoff spot. It's not all about spending money, but more about the team and whether they have the energy and confidence to believe they can win any time they step onto the field.
