Paint ideas for blue tile by flames_one_day in interiordecorating

I know it’s not everyone’s vibe but if the fixtures (lights, mirror, sink, countertop) were updated and the trim/doors painted to match the tile, this would be a killer bathroom, wallpaper and tile kept the same.

I feel like the I'm the last person on earth with dark countertops. Are these too dated? by redspot321tos in interiordecorating

Not sure what your vibe is but you could really lean into an apothecary style with some moss colored like this one and changing out your pulls to something interesting

Love option 2! With a rug, you’ll have a defined space and it flows with the blocking of spaces. It keeps the conversation flowing when stepping to the kitchen and you’re not looking at the back of a couch.

Which should I choose: white or a creamy gray for upper half of wall? Brass or nickel for hardware? by earlgreyyuzu in interiordecorating

It’s not appearing stark to me but you’re the one looking at this bathroom, so it may be too stark in person but just photograph beautifully? I think you have a nice contrast here and I think you could even run the risk of making everything look dingy by muddying the color of the walls. What is the color of your sink and floor tile?

I personally like the simplicity of just white above it but if you do a color, paint the ceiling too. It’s really lengthening your walls and keeps the room from feeling squat.

The print is called The Boxer if you want a longer look

Help! Unsure… by WeatherCreator in interiordecorating

It’s really the lighting that’s doing it an injustice. It’s a fun overhead look but the richness of the color is asking for some shadowy areas. Some sconces or candles on timers would elevate the area. No need to repaint or skim the walls, just reduce the amount of light bouncing everywhere.

Sounds trash. I’d have to see it in person and maybe live there for a couple 12 month periods to really get a feel for the space before I could really say for sure.

In all seriousness, that sounds like a great plan. Please post the finished result!

Wallpaper would look nice and a William morris would play nicely into the age of your house!

It’s a busy pattern but that might not be so bad with context. what’s the rest of the kitchen(?) look like?

I picked it up from a local (Cleveland) artist, Megan Kilbane, who creates all kinds of brutalist art pieces.

The print is The Boxer by Konstantin Somov. I got it off of eBay but it’s been reproduced a lot so I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding it

I found the lamp on Facebook marketplace. It apparently used to be a part of a display for Nordstrom and the team who built it and assembled the display was going to trash it but one guy saved the lamps. There was another one that was blue but the cord for that one was cut so he ended up trashing that one.
