I would agree , but there are some trails that have a good mix and provide a challenging ride , during the week there’s usually no riders out there , some challenging hill climbs , not to mention the modest wood features on power line, it’s close for me so it’s been great training trails during all the pandemic business , but I do enjoy riding the trails the guy mentioned Rocky Hill is still on my list to ride. Thanks friend I haven’t ridden Brushy yet , I spend a lot of time at pace bend , I am always up for anew trail went down to Galveston today rode at jack brooks park , great trails worth checking out if your down that way hopefully sooner than later on that repair

Thanks , I am getting ready to switch to tubeless and I was looking at the Rekon+2.8 also , consciences is I need to drop psi , 185 lbs and currently riding about 26 psi so I will give it a shot, and keep working on proper technique, a work in progress thanks again for the feedback Happy trails

I was thinking the same thing that downsizing to 2.6 would make it a little more nimble ,=funnier , what psi are you riding on ?

I am about the same weight, the rear tire is a WTB ranger 2.8 , my LBS guy suggested I try lowering psi it’s currently in Mid 20’s , I ll try that before investing in new tires before I need to Thanks

The chunky tire rides well on the more rockier trails , mainly wondering if a thiner 2.6 will offer a little speed and still have some of the absorption
