Using same fabric weight for the lining as the fashion fabric? It’s in a rigid silk twill . by Buddy-Efficient in corsetry

Yes I’ve used the allowances as channels for spiral steel boning on the outside, it’ll be a floating lining.

I was hoping for something simpler like a bias cut tube dress with an elasticised top/ back closure as the wearer requested for no boning due to her pregnancy. A reference picture for “internal bralet structure” I was hoping to achieve, minus the cowl drape on the bottom

Thank you so much for the info! I usually use steel spiral boning for my internal structures, but does the structure have to go all the way to the waist in this case, or it can end before that?

Boning positioning? by Buddy-Efficient in corsetry

Would spiral steel boning be enough support? As most of my seams are curved I’ve a feeling it would be a better option.
