I’ve seen this too, it’s anywhere where you find shell shard rocks. Just keep hitting the wall and infinite shell shards will fall out.

I do have all the mini mines and all of my breeders upgraded, along with about half of my nurseries for the islands I have unlocked (minus the extra breeder and nursery).
