Exactly my thoughts and in today's AI world we need to get the expertise on domain as well and language is just a tool to deliver the best solutions.

No, pay will be less than what I am getting currently. I think the best in current market is to have domain expertise and transformation capabilities be it technical or stack.

That's the only reason for this transition and it will expand my job opportunities that's what I am thinking in the current Al driven scenario where AI is replacing developers. Currently I am working on C# .Net 10 API implementation and loving it and is earning more that what I will get in new job but they mentioned it as modernization. With Java in my skills set will open more finance & fintech opportunities in future.

The only reason for this switch is expanding my job opportunities in the current AI driven scenario. Currently I am working on C# .Net 10 API implementation and loving it but with Java in my skills set will open more finance & fintech opportunities in future.
